[UKPP] The Return of the Social Program

Day 2,392, 14:19 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Grampa Alfagrem

The returns from our small party poll regarding the first returning social program are in!

The result split remarkably evenly and thus imposed on me the responsibility of making a PP's choice.

After carefully reviewing your remarks, taking in your opinions on which is better for our target audience and how applicable the scope of the program will be to you I have made the decision that 'Option 2' will be implemented.

In my opinion the £ option offers the benifits of;

1) Flexibility of choice for the member.
The choice of what to buy, how many to buy or simply save, convert, invest, build training centres is open-ended and the member will not need to spend the time waiting for a sale of goods to implement his or her decisions.

2) Better for the nation.
When taking into account income tax and sales tax the return to the treasury should be approx £150 per day. Whilst this is not a huge amount in terms of total returns - it all adds up and that small fee may go towards any other government scheme that ends up helping a new player who we have not otherwise identified.

3) Better management.
There is no need for micro-management of donations by any other party member. Whilst this is not a problem when numbers are low it was historically a time-consuming task when UKPP number were in excess of 100 players.

This frees any leadership types to spend their time on recruiting, mentoring and other social programs that we hope to announce.

Therefore I would like to introduce our newest program;

In other party news........I am running for PP!

It is my hope that (Should I win) then we will be able to hold an old-school party conference to thrash out some policies and ideas.

Our current policies under the current interim leadership and some subsequent discussion can be found here;
