Good Day and welcome to issue #3 of the New UK Today!

The one thing that everyone looks forward to every month is right on our doorstep once again, the Presidential Elections. The month we have 3 candidates supported by a Top 5 Party, these being Jamesw (ESO, TUP & APP), Daniel Thorrold (UKRP) and Emerick (PCP, Uh-oh). You can read the candidates manifesto's by looking at their Newspapers That Guy and The Express. Be sure to vote on the 5th July for the candidate you feel is the best person for job!
As for the Strasbourg Treaty, Congress has had a discussion on an amended version which you can find here. It's now been sent to the French and German Governments and they're now discussing it with their Congress as well, so hopefully everything will go smoothly and we can look forward to continued good relations with the citizens in France and Germany.
And on a tennis-y note...
We had 12 player entering to win a grand prize of 3200GBP this week on a Wimbledon sweepstake. The semi-finalists, Tom43rn and Dishmcds who had Andy Murray and Tsonga respectfully. The winner and runner-up however was Blue and Evil with Djockovic and Invalidation with Nadal banking them 1600GBP and 960GBP each. Congrats to all those who have received a prize!

We don't want you to get upset, but we do have some bad news for you today I'm afraid, we wont be giving out any newspaper or article awards. I know, I know, it's the best part of the article but sometimes there's nothing that catches the eye of the Awards team with this being one of those times. Don't worry though, there's always next time!

The Prime Minister will make most of his announcements in the Announcements section of the Forums which I strongly advise you read, however it is still important that you read his paper when an article is released.
