Hello and welcome to issue 18 of the Ministry of Education's UK Today, the less popular supplement of the Guide To...'s! Today we take a look at the next CP candidates, talk about something a bit secret and find out just why we can't wage war!



My apologies to begin with, due to a combination of the top 5 being full of bought votes and an inability to access my laptop I've not done an article for a little while. Fortunately It's not all bad news, I've managed to get myself involved in a special mentoring program that'll make contact with new players far easier and should greatly improve the eUK's communication between the government and people who have just joined! It's currently in beta so I'm limited to what I am able to say, but I will say it's an amazing tool and idea and I hope it makes it to the full game as it's the greatest addition to eRepublik ever.

In other news, the next CP elections are almost upon us, and currently there are two candidates who have put their names forward with an intent to be in office this Christmas. Count Drakula for The Unity Party and WayneKerr who has no "official" backing as of yet, but is seriously running, is a member of the United Kingdom Progression Party and is currently waiting on their internal ballot to decide whether they'll back him or not. Finally, there's a lot of talk about people wanting any wars. It is actually possible to have a training war with Canada or Ireland, but the problem that occurs is with Russia and Germany. Both are bored and want a war, and us wasting damage in a Training war will give them the opportunity. Talon and the government have decided that we are better off before the CP election not waging wars while we're at risk of invasion so that we can keep our regions. We're all itching for free gold from TP medals, but we'll just have to wait for now!



As ever, there are various ministries looking for some new help. If you want to join and help the Ministry of Education then you should read this thread and follow what it says. The MoE is all about mentoring new players and writing guides and other things generally to do with education. If Foreign Affairs is more your cup of tea then not to worry, they’re recruiting too! Again, all you need to do it follow what it says in this thread. Foreign Affairs is all about building contacts and getting information from other countries.
