[UKGov]The History of the UKPP and the 'Traditional' forums

Day 1,796, 10:12 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Grampa Alfagrem

Hello citizens of the eUK this is my first article after a group of elected officials named me as Emperor of the eUnited Kingdom.

I have been informed that I must take time away from offical schedule of inspecting the nations saltmines and watching displays of our latest Q5 Rocket factories to respond to an article that was recently released by a man claiming to be an (unbiased) government official.

In all seriousness..........

The claim has been made that we are whinging about the forums either out of a lack of anything else to do or simply because "we hatez TUP and dey must DIE!" rather then actually having any valid reason to want to 'veer away' from using the oldfag/traditional/national forum.

I therefore present the history of UKPP's involvement with that particular http.....

At its birth the UKPP was naturally cautious about dealing with 'the other lot' due to their history in the UKWP a party that due to the naivety of its leaders ( I was one of them) suffered a PTO directed and supported by a group from the forum, a congressmember from the 'traditional' parties and a group of our(UKs) french allies who had been mislead to think we were a PTO group trying to re-orientate the nation away from the Strasbourg treaty. (Ironically we were too busy fighting in France, liberating their lands to respond in proper fashion).

For many of us this was our first taste of eUK power-politics

Eventually the remenants of the party joined together with a number of former UKRP members to form the UKPP.

After establishing who we were and what we wanted as a group we started recruiting and rapidly rose into the top 5 of national parties.

UKRP was ofc keeping tabs on their former party members and worried about the implication to their own status by the rise of another centre-right party they began to plot our downfall through PTO and discreditation (http://pastebin.com/h7yBtSqM)

BMThatcher however had not had his masking removed for UKRP access and stumbled across their plotting in the UKRP sub-forum of the 'traditional' forum. He then started a thread querying this scheming and was subsequently banned from the forum and any discussion relating to the banning were locked down http://forums.erepublik.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=76539

Lesson:
The law is the law - There are no mitigating circumstances!

The Pipilibalik Incident
As a new party we were overeliant on BMT and having him organise our activites through the 'traditional' forum. Losing his leadership in the run up to our first congress elections led to a loss of command and control and Pipilibalik happened.

A player who was approved by Imperator Keers and granted his CS by some fella called Talon Karrde. He ran for congress, got elected and started doing troll proposals, ingnoring Keers and his CS mandates and generally was a pain.

Despite receiving his pass into the nation it was the UKPP who were the focus of scrutiny for his subsequnet misdeeds

Lesson:
Our mistakes are none of your business, your mistakes are of national intrest

After the castigation from other parties we took on board their 'suggestions' tht we improved our processes and we formed a party forum where we could hash out policy ideas, run social programs and control our elections and ATO procedures.

Despite the fact we had now bought our party up to their standard, This UKPP only forum came to be seen as some kind of threat to the inhabitents of the 'traditional' board and attacks on the UKPP and their policies increased;

Lesson:
You hold us up to a higher standard and whilst on the one hand dismissing us for being inexperienced you simultaneously expect us to be all knowing and perfect

So why can't we chalk this down to a statistical cluttering of coincidence, a product of the times and hyper-sensitivity on our part?

Well whenever we start to convinve ourselves that maybe we can sneak back onto the forum and join in the barracking of the next new party we find ourselves going back to lesson number 1 The law is the law - There are no mitigating circumstances! and we remember incidents like the refusal of the government to follow their own laws and refusal to adress a petition of investigation and a subsequent petition to accept the petition that should have been addressed by the same person who failed to follow the original law (confusing I know);

We also remember when the law was applied as specified but negated due to patrimony, neptoism and influence;

What the 'Traditional' forum has taught us;

The forum laws are the law unless we decide they are not, any debate on such application or non-application of said laws are forbidden.

You will do as we say not as we do and and any mention of this deficit between words and actions on our part is similarly forbidden.

If you disagree with these terms then feel free to start your own forum but doing so is also forbidden

So....You can pretend there is no problem, that activity is fine and that the forces of light and goodness are on your side. We just decline the invite to your personal interpretation of reality.
