[UK GOV] UK and Relations with several countries (Part 1)

Well, after the article where we talked about alliances and our current status. Foreign office decided to talk about our relations with several countries.



We divided this article in 4 chapters :
- Countries who are considered as UK Friends
- Countries who were our enemies in the past and are now our friends
- Countries who were our friends and decided to be our enemies
- Countries who always been considered as UK Enemies

Of course, it will be impossible to talk about every country and we will only talk about main ones

Due to the lenght of the article : this article will be split in two parts.



1- Countries who always been a friend of United Kingdom

Serbia



A long friendship between our country and Serbia. Since at least mid 2009 our 2 countries always been in the same alliance. We were together in PEACE GC, we continued to be together in Phoenix and now we are together in ONE. Despite the fact that we share a long friendship, there is one small anecdote that best sums up our relationship. During V1, Serbia had a colony in China (no need for a link with the Capital at that time), and several times, Eden forces tried to have back this region. United Kingdom (despite our size) sends troops there. At the end of this battle, we were the country who had the highest ratio between damages done and troops sends. For our contribution, Serbia has always helped our country and a special relationship began (and continues) between us and Serbians.
They are one of our closest friends.

Macedonia



Since they appeared on the game, Republic of Macedonia is considered as a great friend of the UK. Even before, UK always had a good contact with their community (When it did not have a country the Macedonian community lived in several countries, like South Korea and Russia). We were one of the first countries who recognized them by their real name (Republic of Macedonia and not f***m). Shortly after admin added their country, we signed an MPP with them and they joined the same alliance than UK. They always made their best to help our country and when they need help we are there for them .Under Kravenn's term, they needed help for a Resistance war, the UK Special forces were one of the units available to help our friends
Macedonia is (with Serbia) one of our closest allies.

Indonesia



Indonesia were one of the powerhouses of PEACE GC when the United Kingdom joined in 2009 and we have remained good friends ever since. Indonesia have often helped the UK against our common enemies the USA and Canada and can always be relied on to do important damage for the UK outside of our primetime, which has brought our countries closer. On a personal level, citizens of the UK have always got on very well with their Indonesian counterparts and we know we can count on each other as reliable allies.


Hungary



The catalyst for the UK joining PEACE was letting Hungary rent regions in Scotland that they used to invade the USA. Many old players in the UK still remember these times as the most fun in all the years they have played the game. The UK and Hungary have remained firm allies ever since. This was a pivotal moment for the UK, coming not long after the breakup of the ATLANTIS super alliance, and paving the way for the UK to make some lasting friendships with countries it had previously been opposed to. At the time there had been a lot of friction with the UK and the USA, Spain and others that were trying to make an alliance called Fortis, so Hungary’s proposal came at a great time. Hungary has been a staunch ally ever since, and it’s a privilege to fight for them on the battlefield.


Belgium



Maybe the special case of this category : Belgium is small country which always wanted to remain neutral. A long time ago, UK and Belgium merged into a big country. At a moment, Belgium decided to take its independence but to prevent a PTO, they merged in emergency with Netherlands.
At the end 2009, UK helped Belgium to kick Romanian PTOters. A special relationship between our 2 countries remained.
Months after months the special relationship began to disappear but in the last few months France tried to invade them (without any good reason). We helped them against French aggressors and signed a MPP. Despite their size (we known that Belgium has not the same power than Serbia) they send their army to help us against our aggressors

Also, UK has always considered countries like Lithuania – Estonia – Latvia – Iran – Slovenia as Friends
We shared common history and there is no reason to stop this friendship



2- Countries who were our enemies and who are now our friends

Poland



A long time ago, we were enemies. They were in EDEN and we were in PEACE GC and after that Phoenix. Things began to change after Phoenix's collapse. They signed MPPs with Hungary and Serbia. After UK left Terra, we were Pro-One but we waited to sign MPP with Poland. We knew that they had German and French regions and it was a problem for UK to sign with them. Despite that, we had (and have) a common enemy called Eden (and Terra too) and we began to think that USA will invade UK. This treat makes us sign a MPP with them.
It wasn't easy to begin a relation but each part begins to appreciate the other. During an attack on London we concluded that Poland is a true friend of UK (and they have very good MUs like POG).
There is no reason to stop this friendship.

Spain



Like Poland, our 2 countries were on different paths. For a few days, via some swaps with France, we had some regions in Spain. In exchange, Spanish citizens began to spam our media to make us pay.
After Poland left EDEN, they decided to do the same and they joined the new block composed of Poland – Hungary – Serbia.
Having an amiable relationship with them wasn't a simple thing and Spain was a country who was 100% against UK. But here, diplomacy helped and one day, they decided to ask to have a MPP with us. That was a big surprise and since that time, a new friendship was born.
Last month, One of their citizens (Pablinho) made 23M of influence attempting to help us to have a congress. Like Poland we were enemies but each country be friended the other and results are good


Sweden



They are one of our neighbor but old alliances dictated that we were on opposite side. We only began to have a relation when they joined ONE (which was composed by Poland – Serbia – Hungary – Spain. Macedonia joined shortly afterwards and Sweden arrived (almost) on the same time than them). During several attacks by Canada, they helped our country by attacking Canada and opened a new front. Some months ago, together, we invaded Canada and worked hand in hand.
Swede is also one of the countries where you can find the most experienced players. Another good reason to have them as friends.
