[UK CP] Resilience

Day 2,306, 23:48 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by 10 Downing Street

As you recall, my first days as President was marked by an invasion by not one, not two, but three countries. It was an existential threat to this nation that we have not seen in recent memory. There are many things that happen that are beyond your control, but you still must find ways to deal with it. And so we did. Today, I am proud to announce that we no longer have any NEs. We have kicked out two of the three invaders, France and Moldova. While the third invader, Finland, still occupies Scotland and Northern Ireland, the NE was broken when we no longer shared a border at one point. As of Day 2,306, we have 10 of our original 12 regions. Just a few days ago, we only had three. Most countries would have given up after multiple defeats on multiple fronts, but the eUK is different. We are a resilient country that will never accept defeat. Of course, it would be grossly inappropriate for me to take the credit for all of this, as we could have done this without the gracious help of our allies, especially the United States and Poland, who went on the offensive against our aggressors and liberated several of our regions. Multiple countries also sent special forces to help us in resistance wars and defending regions. My cabinet has been busy at work protecting our country. And you, citizens of the eUK, stepped up to defend our country, whether it was through the donation of weapons and supplies, coordinating attacks/defensives, or simply fighting. The battle to liberate our country is not over, but the table has certainly turned.

eUK as of Day 2,306.

With both Moldova and France out of the equation, we can now focus our efforts on Finland. Over the past week, the government and private citizens have set up Command Orders (COs) which has been greatly beneficial. At of the 50k the government was allocated, we spent around 30k on COs, much less than anticipated. We will continue the use of COs if deemed necessary. It is my hopes that by the time of my next CP update, we will have gained all our original regions back. I had not planned for this during my term, as it has distracted from my domestic plans, but protecting our country is the number one priority, and I hope you will agree that our government has done a stellar job in doing so.

Defeating Moldova and France.

A quick note on today’s Party President elections. We are carefully monitoring the threat of a PTO. If one exists, it is likely they will take over a party in an attempt to gain control so they can run candidates for Congress, allowing a PTO to succeed. While I will not personally be endorsing candidate X or Y in party A or B, my advice is to vote smart. The military battle for our country may be coming to an end, but the threat of the destruction of our country still exists. After the election, I hope to implement my manifesto platform of the creation of an immigration commission which unites parties in monitoring the citizenship of new applicants. Based on previous committees, this will be a one month trial, and our future president can decide to continue it depending on the success of it.

Wanted to give you a short update on what’s going in with the war effort. It has not even been 10 days since I was elected, but already we have gone through so much. Here’s to another 20 days of adventure.
