[UD] News from the 'hood

Day 1,158, 16:24 Published in Sweden Norway by Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Hello, eSweden,

A long time has passed so I thought it's time to update you on various events happening around us in EDEN.

Anyway, at the beginning of this month Bogdan_L (Romania), the Supreme Commander of EDEN, got replaced by avec (Finland). With that, whole HQ has also changed, welcoming mostly the well-known faces there.

As for the allied military actions, with the current attack rules it's rather predictable what will happen on various European fronts, most notably the Balkan one, where atm everyone is engaged in some kind of war with their neighbor. As for the frequently mentioned war with Lithuania -- well, we do have a border, yes, which does not mean we should use it immediately, completely out of the blue and not prepared enough. There's no need to remind you that we aren't exactly the strongest force in EDEN (although we have the biggest meatballs) and in order to start a successful campaign we do need some allied support, and coordination, to make it happen.

The political actions of EDEN seem to be much more interesting than the military ones. The Brotherhood has welcomed yet another member, Bulgaria (you can say hi in the comments) and said goodbye to another one, Switzerland (they were stripped of their member privileges in absentia until their political situation is cleared). The EDEN newspaper implies they got kicked out plus their flag was removed from the tree. I honestly have no idea what's their current status (members? suspended members? former members?) and the EDEN officials I asked seem to have no idea either.

Poland and Spain were not warned for their Hungarian MPPs, even though there was an attempt to do so (failed due to not having enough of a majority). They remained full EDEN members with all privileges. What happens next is however unclear. A massive wave of trolling has been witnessed on the battlefields, eg. in the Spanish RW yesterday. Romanian officials claim those are just citizens hunting BH medals. The other side is not really innocent as well; Polish president has been seen tanking against Romania via Hungarian MPP; he claims he was defending a Hungarian core region.

Whatever happens, the government is asking Swedish citizens to remain calm and refrain from fighting against an allied country (even for a BH medal or to demonstrate your support for either of the sides of the 'conflict'). With the current amount of screenshots hunting, we believe it's best for eSweden and its inhabitants to stay out of this mess.

During the next days, it is possible that Poland will leave EDEN. Polish government issued a public poll in which around 76% said yes. The case is awaiting for the congressional voting, but with such a huge support from the population it is rather unlikely that the Congress will decide otherwise. Anyway again, let's refrain from commenting whether it's right or wrong until their status is cleared.

From the organizational news, EDEN has been divided into several regional blocks in order to improve the coordination between the Brotherhood members in their common wars. The exact criteria of such division remain unknown, however we trust that the HQ has everyone's best interest in mind. Therefore there are: 'Balkans' (Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, BiH, Greece), 'eForza' (Poland, Spain, Italy), 'eNordic' (Scandinavia + Latvia) and ‘PacificForces’ (Aussies, China, Canada). Dividing the old #alliedforces channel, which is now closed down, into several smaller ones, will surely help the recently shaky Brotherhood's spirit to get together once again and beat the remnants of Phoenix senselessly.

Last but not least, vote the newest EDEN Media Team article!

Enjoy your day,
