Britain, today I come to you with news regarding our future. As most of you know, we will officially be receiving Congress this month. This is thanks to our government officials, our allies, and to an extent our adversaries. If you note with interest the war module, you will be drawn to the fact that Ireland recently decided to take a foray into Sweden.

When they did so, they knew that they would potentially lose the chance to take away our Congress, should we manoeuvre (as we soon did) into Northern Ireland. Of course, instead of releasing Scotland, to then allow Canada to wipe us, Ireland agreed to keep Scotland, and fight down Resistance Wars that we started in North West England. Why? To ensure Northern Ireland had no borders with Canada. This way, we were guaranteed Congress. If the Ireland-Sweden NE ended; Ireland would not NE us. If it didn't end, they could not NE us.



This, of course, meant that we could ensure that we could focus on taking a risk, which paid off. As of now, its official that the United Kingdom will have 20 congress members this term. Of course, the humility and honesty that the Irish Government exuded when we met, has lead to a cordial understanding between our two nations.



In the interim we'll be assisting our allies in every way we can, in addition to doubling our efforts in attempting to regain our conquered lands.


One thing which must be mentioned, is that throughout this period, we have argued consistently, although unsuccessfully, on behalf of our Swedish brothers. At the same time, we have ensured that our troops are there to help them; it is natural for us to support our allies, and seek to reduce our need for ONE support (so others can get more), or our need for any support (as this deal did), so that not only can ONE fight for others, but we can too. So let me be catagorically clear: this may seem like the UK is 'doing a Scotland' all over again, except in reverse. This is not the case; we will continue to support, treasure and do our utmost for Sweden, but at the same time, we must appreciate our situation; it is not possible for us to keep our regions British indefinitely. It may be that Scotland is Canadian tomorrow. France may decide they're bored and want to hurp elsewhere: they can create a route to Scotland and come themselves. This way, we have a country which by its own admission is the weakest militarily of the 3 occupying countries.



As the deal previously mentioned also shows: we get resources, which, is great. However I should stress: this changes nothing. Ireland will remain in EDEN. The United Kingdom will remain dedicated to its membership of ONE, its friendship with its allies, and co-operation against all Terra and EDEN nations. In terms of Ireland, we will honour this deal to the letter; it is a deal sanctioned, supported and endorsed by ONE HQ - even if we sought to break the deal, they have agreed to effectively underwrite our guarantee.



Times of difficulty call for pragmatism. You can disagree or dislike this deal; but the fact of the matter is, we are hardly in a place to be picky; we are occupied by 3 countries, whose allies are more than willing to sink millions of damage, tank for hours, etc. Our dedication to PEACE-GC, Phoenix and now ONE, makes us a prime target for 'revenge;' our small size makes us a prime target for 'propoganda victories,' and that is what our invasion is: EDEN striking back at ONE; Croatia/Greece striking back at us.



I officially sign this peace treaty on behalf of the UK, and look forward to months of hopefully, more cordial relations across the Irish Sea.
