Military Situation Report- Europe (24-3-12)

This is the first article I’m going to write in English, so please excuse me if I make any grammatical or typographical errors. Also I want to apologize for any wrong detail I say or omit, and for my limited expressiveness.

War Diaries (Diarios de Guerra) is a newspaper dedicated to the military news. It talks about the different battles that are going on, and tries to be impartial in the reviews. I don’t know if the international readers would like it, but the format has worked for me in Spain, so I hope that it will also do it out of my country.

The reports are divided by fronts, for example Spain, Italy, Central Europe, The Balkans, etc. I include maps of the different areas for better understanding.

The numbers and results of the battle are the ones in the moment I write this, so there can be some small differences. Please check the hour and day at the end of the article to know when was all this stuff happening.

Usually I talk about all the fronts of the world, but in this one (because is a test) I will only name the ones located in Europe. Let’s go to the point.

Military Situacion Report- Europe

1-British Isles and Benelux:

The UK keeps London and Northern Ireland, and has RW’s in both the East (5-0 for France) and the Norwest of England (1-0 for Ireland).

In the Benelux front, Belgium is trying to retake Flanders from the Netherlands (0-0)



2-Spain:

Macedonia took the Balearic Islands and now is attacking the Valencian Community (5-0 for the macedonians) in order to help Spain. Also, Spain lost the Basque Country a few hours ago and now there are two RW in its territory: Castilla y León (4-0 for USA) and Extremadura (2-1 for Spain, although this is an unwanted victory). Spain keeps the Canary Islands, Andalucia, Murcia, La Rioja and Cantabria under its control.





3-Italy:

There are three RW organized by Italy: Apulia (5-0 for Serbia), Abruzzo (4-0 for Macedonia) and Lombardy (0-0 for now). Almost all the country is occupied, except for Tuscany, Trentino and Piedmont (and we can name Liguria, now under French control).





4-Scandinavia:

Russia has almost overrun the area, and is now attacking Gotaland (7-1 for Sweden), and Sorlandet (5-1 for Russia) while Sweden tries to liberate Smaland from Ireland (7-0 for Sweden) and Scania from Russia (0-0). Also, Ireland is attacking Gotland (6-0 for Sweden) and Denmark is trying to liberate Hovedstaden (3-0 for Germany), while Estonia is invading Southern Finland (0-0).

Sweden keeps Jamtland, Gotland, Gotaland and Svealand.





5-Central Europe:

Poland retake all its territory from Croatia and Ukraine and now is attacking Subcarpatia (6-0 for Poland).

Also, Hungary has recovered most of its territory, except for two provinces that they are trying to retake now, the Southern Great Plain (1-1) and Southern Transdanubia (4-0 for Croatia, while attacking Maramures (2-1 for Hungary).

Finally, Austria is trying to recover Tyrol (4-0 for Germany) and Slovenia is attacking Graubunden (7-0 for the Slovenians).



6-The Balkans:

After the breakdown in Eden, Greece attacked Bulgaria and conquered Plovdiv. Now is attacking Burgas, but without the same success (7-0 for Bulgaria).

Albania is trying to liberate itself in the Albanian Coast (5-0 for Serbia) and Southeastern Albania (7-0 for FYROM).

Finally, Montenegro has now a RW in the Montenegrin Coast (4-1 for Bosnia & Herzegovina).



7-Eastern Europe:

There’s a couple of RW in this area, but I suppose they are ``false´´´. One of them is in North Caucasus (6-0 for Bulgaria) and the other one is in Samogitia (7-0 for Latvia).
