[Rylde4CP] A Meta-game Argument

Hands of Lightning: Yep, I wasted two gold.

Yes, you read that right. I’m endorsing Rylde, the patron deity of my arch-nemesis Xander “Snuggle Bear” Kross. Let me explain why.

Rylde has made mistakes (such as instigating war with a world power and getting us wiped), but who of us hasn’t made a mistake? Well, maybe Lelouch (or Emcee Mixsilly now, as I call them), but that’s more grounds for McCarthyist suspicion than lauding. He also knows exactly how to play eRepublik, which is to say he plays the game by throwing the rulebook – one he has set ablaze – out the window. Rylde is bold, thus fortune favours him, and he’s also a political genius (though he doesn’t want you to know that). He doesn’t always do what is “right”, but he always does what is fun, and that’s the point of playing a game, in case you haven’t noticed.



Let’s look at Dozzer, the poor man’s Brazzer. He’s your typical public servant: competent, hard-working, and charismatic without being authoritative. He’s good, but not great, with a clear talent bias towards foreign affairs. In short, he’s Mackenzie King without the dog and the desire to talk to a painting. Dozzer’s also the official candidate for the tripartite Coalition of the CPF-IW-PFC, which means technically I’m speaking out against my party’s decision (odd behaviour for a Spokesman, I’m aware, but this is a personal endorsement, not one from my party). However, in all good consciousness I can’t allow my former MoFA to be CP. Because he’s just not good enough.

Dozzer was my second choice for MoFA, and technically Dill’s considering he was the Putin to my short Medvedev regime. I originally wanted klop (because he’s the best MoFA in the country. Full stop.), but he was busy with RL commitments. I was scrambling for a FA minister, and Dozzer just happened to be hanging around. He did his job, albeit in the most boring and inoffensive fashion, through mine and latter adminstrations.
Look. I’m not going to say that Dozzer isn’t a good choice, because I’d be lying. He hasn’t proven any major deficiency, other than perhaps jealousy (if DMV’s recent article is any indication), and will make an adequate CP if/when elected. That said, he’s not the best choice. Rylde is. Rylde’s dedication to making his, and our, off-hours exciting makes him the best of the candidates. I live in RL Canada, in its RL capital, and I can decisively say that our politics are filled with Dozzers. Let’s not make the same mistake here, when we have a choice in entertainment. And that’s all a CP in eRepublik is, a master of ceremonies and guild master of our faction. I’m sure both of us would agree that we want October to be a month of intrigue and conflict, because that’s why we play this game.

Plus his avatar is Drizzt Do’Urden, and he would totally win in a fight with Salvador Allende.
