[Rtb's Guides] Guide to the CP candidates

Day 2,294, 12:11 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Rob the Bruce

So I was intending to write a non-top 5 guide to the parties, to follow up my last article, but then I remembered that there was a bloody election coming up. And so the party guide will have to wait (sorry WookieO). However this is a great excuse to make these things a series, hence the shiny new square brackets. Right, onto the guide then...

ROB THE BRUCE'S ULTIMATE GUIDE TO THE CURRENT CP CANDIDATES
Also known as "a great opportunity to make passive aggressive comments..."

Well here's the lot of them (unless one turns up at last minute.)

So first up we have The Equalist!

It appears TUP is running their usual style of candidate: Not a funny man, but efficient and smart, probably won't make any major balls up, won't completely change the dynamic of the country, and if you believe Commander Dapper then he's also a Polish Iain Keers multi, Saudi-Arabian PTOer and is actually loyal to eMars. What we know for sure though, is that The Equalist is the bloke/blokess that writes the country top tens series of articles, which can provide a mildly interesting read every now and then. He also plans to reform congress, those never work though :/ and has quite a bit of government experience.

His CP articles can be found here:

Next we have hollenboer!

Quite unsurprisingly, hollenboer's ran himself for CP again. He'll get the New Era vote at the very least. He has some government experience from working for some lesser eNation, and his manifesto consists of fabricating more money to get MPPs and somehow more people. The big question on everybody's lips is what branch of alchemy he plans to use to make this money. We'll have to wait and see it seems. What we do know though is that his English isn't the best so his government updates (should he win) might prove a difficult read for some.

His manifesto can be found here:

Next is TheJny123!

TheJny123 is the UKPP candidate, providing the vote we're currently holding goes in his favor (we never time this well, god damn it). I'm unsure about his political experience, his profile doesn't show any but he might have done some ministerial sh*t we don't know about. His manifesto consists of beating the crap out of the Norwegians and listening to what the public wants, which is never a daft idea. I also know that I'm his minister of entertainment, dunno about the rest of his cabinet though. He appears to not be much of a funnyman, but could do a good job potentially.

Here's his manifesto so far:

Next on the list is Huey George!

Well, his manifesto is truly the dullest thing I've ever laid eyes upon, however he's covered everything, from work tax and MPPs to Raw Material loans and the NHS. He'd most likely do a good job and be very thorough, debating every little thing with congress if he wants all his little bits and pieces to pass. I'm a congressman, so I will truly be bored to death by the end of it all. However if he cracked a joke I'd probably die from shock as well, so it's a losing situation for me I'm afraid.

His manifesto is here:

Huey, might I suggest a tl;dr?

Finally, it's WookieO!

This hairy fellow is probably the wittiest candidate, and definitely the hairiest, so the updates from downing street can actually have some entertainment value, which is nice. He is the only candidate running that's actually done this job before, and his last term was certainly not a bad one, so we can guarantee that he won't do a terrible job, despite his manifesto lacking a bit of detail. He does promise to write more detail about what his policies are going to be however, and even without the details he is still a strong candidate.

His introductory article can be found here:

And so that concludes this guide, I'll have to do more of these sort of things, they are quite fun to write. I hope that this one has helped you to decide on a candidate to vote on.

Until next time then,
-Rob the Bruce
