[President] Hit the Ground Gunning

Day 2,848, 01:58 Published in USA USA by Aeriadne

If you will allow me just this one moment, we'll get back to serious things right after. But... I've been waiting for this one for a loooong time. And I still can't believe it's here.

Oh my gosh...

Whew...

Okay...

*AHEM*

Thank you. For everyone who voted for me, for everyone who believed, thank you. Sincerely. The month we have ahead is going to be a great one, so let's stop zooming in on that dino crotch and get to talking about it.

...the it here meaning the month we have ahead, not the dino crotch...

...I mean, if you guys want to, we could talk more about dino crotch...

...no? Okay, moving on.

Monkey Business
At day's onset, our North Korean regions seemed in a slight pickle as to whether we would retain them or not. Little known fact, though; bananas are the natural enemy of pickles. And we just so happen to have one of the world's greatest potassium technicians on hand.

The battles in Hwangae and Kangwon quickly turned in our favor, with our soldiers and our allies rallying quickly. So covered was the field in the yellow fruit that you would have thought it was a Mario Kart track.

The machine guns didn't hurt either.

Didn't hurt us, I should say.

While triumphs abounded on the small East Asian peninsula, tragedy struck on another jutting point of land. In Scandinavia, our Finnish friends' first forays into Fall were frustrated by foolish fascism. It seems a butthurt player of some ill rapport wished to bypass Democratic procedure and just become ruler of our Northern ally. However hard the Finns fought was to no avail.

However, we will not allow one of our own to be put under such oppression be it at foreign hands or not. This injustice will not reign. This play by a sad player will not be tolerated.

Bear and Eagle gon' getcha, Tse Kim.

The rightfully elected government of Finland will be restored. This, I do promise. Pacifica stands strong.

Moons Over Harvest
Onto lighter and more home focused fare, I am pleased to announce the first week of Harvest Festival festivities! The HF Planning Committee has been hard at work organizing the jovial manifestations. Here gathered, in handy image form, is the schedule for our first week of celebrations.

Today, Monday, has already brought us the first bout of media exposure for what is to come with Dio Soryu's Hearthstone Tournament rules and signup. Hearthstone is a free game which and fairly easy to pick up. Those wishing to participate should message him with interest, and be sure to read his rules and guidelines for an intro understanding to how it will all happen. But don't feel rushed on your decision; you've got until reset on Wednesday (Day 2850) to sign up.

First Place Prize for the Beginner's Tournament and the Expert's Tournament will be 5 gold, with Second Place winners being awarded 3 gold, and Third Place winners 1 gold. All participants will also automatically receive 500 energy worth of food, so be sure to get involved today!

If you join, at least you'll have chicken.

If you can't until Friday to get your sweet Hearthstone chicken, then there's an earlier chance for you to collect some September swag Tuesday night at the Cabinet Meet and Greet. Taking place on IRC in #usa-chat from 18:00 - 21:00 eRepublik Time, you'll get to chill with this month's Executive Team. The gala event will have catering and an open bar of course, along with fabulous prizes that will be randomly given out throughout the evening.

Maybe it will be more gold! Or even some guns! Or perhaps an embarrassing picture of Derphoof at last year's Christmas party which can be used for Blackmail! Who knows?

Certainly not I, the keeper of the secret thing.

And as if this wasn't enough already, we've got a Forum Mafia game that'll be starting up on Wednesday, as well as a Raffle run on Thursday. For more sweet deets on those two events and the ones covered here, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Blande's and Oak1241's articles concerning them.

We're off to the races already, and I hoped you've packed your saddles. I wish to again thank all who elected me to office. Signed, sealed, delivered; I'm yours.
