Harvest Festival Hearthstone Tournament Rules!

Day 2,847, 22:22 Published in USA USA by Dio Soryu

Greetings, my beloved America!

I'm taking a break from my usual intense arguments about the political landscape of the United States to share a guilty pleasure with you...

Sapphic MLP Fanfics!

No, wait... It was supposed to be something else, I think?

Oh! Right! Right!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am proud to be acting as the host of Aramec's Harvest Festival Hearthstone Tournament!

Now, in case you don't know, Hearthstone is a free-to-play digital collectable card game published by Blizzard Entertainment. You can learn more about it on Blizzard's Official Website.

We will be hosting two single-elimination brackets. One for experienced players and another for just anyone. Experienced players will have their entire card library to choose from while the beginners bracket will be limited to Basic Cards Only.

For those who aren't familiar, Basic Cards are the freebie cards that are either given upfront or can be unlocked through a bit of play. This means anyone in the beginners bracket has a fair shot at winning without spending a dime!

Please note that the beginners bracket players will be allowed to use any combination of Basic cards on any Class. You are not limited to the pre-defined 'Basic Decks', but can choose to make a custom deck, so long as it is composed of only Basic Cards!

Matches will take place on the North American server.

Each player will only be allowed one deck and one hero, so choose wisely when building. I am planning to play best of three, however if there is too many more players than we have judges, I am reserving the right to make it one game (you will be told at the begging of the match if it is best of three or best of one). I'd like to make it a lot bigger (and a round-robbin, since we're talking about it) but, lets face it, this isn't Blizzcon and I just don't have those kind of resources at my disposal. :3

Entrants must message me before Day Change on Day 2850, including your Battletag, which bracket you are entering and a screencap of your full deck along with what hours you will be available.

The Beginners Tournament will take place on Friday (Day 2852), and Experts Tournament will take place on Saturday (Day 2853) from 12:00 eRep time until whenever we finish.

No shows will be disqualified, so if you aren't going to be very available you have been warned! That said, I will post schedules on Day 2851 although TIMES WILL HAVE TO BE FLEXIBLE AS NEEDS ARISE!

If anyone would be interested in being a judge, I'd be happy to have the help but know you will NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE as a contestant!

I think that covers everything, but feel free to leave any questions in the Comments section. Prizes are TBD and will be published in The Halfling Times

Anyway, since this isn't a srs bsns article here's some titties for ya.

...what? I'm coming half-way here, alright?

Love,
