[NSC] Warfare Affairs

Day 2,298, 15:43 Published in USA USA by The Mike

Dear guys,

in the last NSC article I promised you two more articles. One for the divisional changes and one for the current war affairs worldwide. Well, today I'm offering you both.

Before getting to the point, however, let me include a short introduction. At the moment the USA has presence in several parts of the eWorl😛
- we own all our original regions;
- we have Baja, Mexico, for the purpose of a bonus for the weapon industry;
- we have Canadian regions as we are in war with Canada; we also get economical boni from these regions;
- we have French regions for strategic purposes in benefit for our alliance, Sirius; we also get one of the two French rubber regions.
- we are expected to have presence in Japan as per our treaty with RoC.

The Canadians are regularly opening RWs in our regions, which is the case as of the moment of writing this article. In the same time we are on the offensive against France, who haven't been resisting against our invasion so far. Tomorrow, after day change, we shall be taking Lorraine, which is an iron region. This will bring our productivity in the weapon industry to 100%. Which is why I'd like to take the opportunity now to advise you to check out the battles before working in your companies tomorrow. If we haven't taken Lorraine yet, it might prove to be more profitable for you to wait a couple of hours and do your DO instead 😉

tl;dr Go get that iron and work after you have the 100% bonus 😛

Not long ago, Iain Keers posted a very thorough article explaining the effects of the changes in the divisions. I guess most of you have already read it, so I won't bother going through the same arguments, but will concisely summarise the main points.

1. All former divisions 1-3 are now the current division one. The former forth division got divided into three new divisions.

All new profiles were spread out across the three divisions, while all old players, strong and weak, were together in division 4. In first division one person could win almost any battle and in the forth one could hit all day long without making ANY difference at all.

Now all new players are in the first couple of divisions and it takes a lot of time to progress to a higher division.

2. All hoarding of strength is now worth 1 point in battles

Before a lot of players would only train and count every single XP point won. They would avoid any actions awarding them with XPs, including fighting. Some of them generated a considerable amount of strength and were of crucial help in the former divisions 2 and 3. Now all these experienced strength hoarders are back in first division and their strategy crushed into pieces.

3. Unfair to new players; paradise for older players

Until now one could skip Division 1 after registering, without even realising there are different divisions. Now, new players will have to play long time, before getting promoted above Division 1. This means that older players (with top strength) will rule Divisions 1-2-3-4 for quite some time now 🙂

4. d2 and d3 are expected to get much more attention now and D3 will be the most populated

In order to reach d4, one has to fight for 3 years. So, it will continue being a place for elite soldiers only, while focus shall shift towards the more populated divisions 2 and 3. They are to attract more damage in total and respectively more investments in terms of CO money will be injected.

5. Importance of weak d4 players has increased as on average there will be 25 fighters pro battle.

There are too few players in Division 4, so any damage counts now. While Division 1 may be overpopulated, Division 2 moderately populated (soon to be true for Division 3 too), battles in Divisions 3 and 4 can be easily steered by tanking from a stronger account.

The second part of the article is about the recent war affairs. Our Croatian friend Ashkoort published quite the war map analysis last week, so I'll just quickly go through the maps and summarise for you the main events that have taken place over the last weeks.

North America
- Canada is being invaded by Spain and the USA. They manage to RW from time to time.
- USA has achieved 100/100 boni for the first time in two years. Tonight we are on our way to get back what we lost yesterday!

South America
- Chile and Argentina have agreed to a peace and therefore it is quiet in the continent.
- Brazil, a member of our alliance Sirius, is wiped and without regions. Argentina earn roughly $7k in taxes from occupying Brazil.

Asia/Pacific
- Chile enjoy 10/10 as they occupy regions in Australia and New Zealand. AU have one region and NZ - 2.
- Indonesia stays still in the region.
- Other countries with regions are China, RoC, Thailand, Russia, Pakistan and Malaysia.
- Croatia is still on top of India.

South Europe
- Bulgaria is back on the map after a deal with Romania and Serbia.
- MKD is still under Greek rule, who now border Peru, Bosnia and Albania who have moved to the Arab Peninsula.
- Serbia are down to 40% bonus for weapon industry after they lost some RWs over the week.
- All Croatia, Bosnia and Albania are back on the Balkans and are fighting successful wars against Serbia and Montenegro.
- Croatia is fighting both Serbia and Slovenia simultaneously.
- Spain got rid of the Romanians and closed the war with Portugal. While Spain is holding some Canadian regions, they are on the offensive against Serbia. They have taken the French rubber region (there are only two of them in Europe), the one that the Serbians have reserved for themselves!

Central and North Europe
- Hungary is the eIron Curtain - a long wall across Europe that separates Sirius (but Croatia) and Asteria nations. Although they have 100/80 (food/weapons boni), they make only 20k a day from taxes.
- Poland has dealt with the danger from Romania and Iran. Now is tidying up the place.
- Belarus is a threat to the Baltic countries from the South, while they are waring with Argentina (who are still in the region..) and with Asgard.
- Sweden and Finland haven't enjoyed full regions for quite a while. Now that Asgard has joined Serbia's side they are
- UK is finally on the way to close the war with Norway.
- Molodva have ASed the UK and already have 5 regions in West Europe. Already more than the 4 originals 😛

These are the main headlines from the world. If you miss the actual maps, check out the article from the other day.

Finally, allow me to remind you after daychange to follow America's battles. We are getting back to 100/100 and working after we have secured Lorraine will allow you to produce more goods 😛

Thank you for staying with me!
