Dear eDutch citizen,

On Thursday, February the 2nd, at 22:28, the eDutch CP-debate came to an end. During 118 minutes, CP-candidates NoTie112 (our current CP) and Joep O (former CP) debated with eachother about what was so good about their own statements and, especially, what was wrong with the statements of the other guy! 😃

First, I'd like to thank the public, that showed up with large numbers to follow this exciting debate! It has been long since there was a CP-debate in the eNetherlands and it was fairly clear that most of us really wanted one again!

The full debate can be read here (click). A summary will be given here.

The candidates reacted to:
- 1 opening question
- 3 joint questions
- 2 individual questions
- 2 statements
- 1 ending question

The rules and the questions of the CP-debate can be read here (click).

The most important subject in this debate were a possible Polish threat and the economical-monetary situation in the eNetherlands.
The candidates fairly agreed on the first subject: a Polish threatment should be fought to with help of our allies and with no mercy to the enemy.
The economical-monetary situation of our country created more discussion between the candidates. At the questions what should be done with the large NLG-surplus of the eDutch government, Joep O answered that this surplus is no good for anything, while NoTie did see the benefits of it.

Ofcourse, to get a perfect image of the setup of the CP-debate, it is to be advised to (entirely or partially) read it (click). For now, to draw the mood / environment of the debate:

Surprising / interesting about this CP-debate:
- The word "situation" turned out to be pretty difficult: NoTie112 consequently wrote this as "sitatuion".
- Dick_Dastardly anxiously watched the time candidates spoke and decided that it was wise to mention Mattio's incompetence to him.
- Behind the scenes, at #eUNL there was a fierce discussion about the answers of the CP-candidates. Even that fierece, that Auggustus had to leave the channel while in tears. Himself, he says that he "accidently closed the wrong tab".
- Halfway the debate, the audience got the possibility to suggest questions. An astounishing eleven questions were suggested within one second. A selection:
[21:24] Dick_Dastardly wanted to know your standpoints concerning abortion, Auggy asked me on who’s side Chuck Norris would be AND what the name is for an orange going up and down (an orange sinusapple).

The debate in numbers:
- A total of 725 breads were given away thanks to these CP-debates.
- Joep O talked the most, he had 248 lines. To compare this, NoTie only had 169 (Mattio had 241).
- The candidates didn't understand much of the debate. By far, the word that was the most times used was "question" (75).
- This debate was all about you, dear citizen! "Citizen" was the second most used word (44 times).
- "\o/" was said just as often as "bribery" and "responsible": 4 times.
