First steps in eRepublik - Part 2 (Political)

Salutations!

This is the second part of the 'First steps in eRepublik' guides, as you may remember, last time round we covered the military side of things. We hope to give you a little insight into the political side of the game, and next we’re going to do some economics.

Let’s get straight to it, we hope you enjoy!

As we've already mentioned in part 1, as soon as you join the game you'll start receiving random friend requests and random messages asking you to join one of the various political parties within eUK. We recommend that you externally look at all of the parties that have made offers to you and make your decision based on which party you get along with the best and agree with the most, not the one who offers the most Q7 tanks! If you wish to learn more information on any of the political parties then you can either look on the eRepublik wiki or read the two-part 'guide to' article that was written by the MoHA last month. (Both links will be given at the end of the article)

There are various stages of progression throughout the in-game political module, many people see becoming a Congressman/woman the first stage. Most political parties usually offer Congress seats to newer members in order to get them attuned to politics and give them an insight into how the political system works. You can put your name forward for Congress via your party page. This is then usually followed by a party position on the political ladder, there are 5 to choose from, each bearing different responsibilities. After gaining a party position there is a cabinet/ministerial position, this puts you in charge of an entire government division however most of the time new cabinet members are often made a deputy minister. And finally we have the almighty country president position that puts you in charge of the entire country, sounds fun eh? That could be you one day if you put in the time, effort and dedication!

(Of course these things may happen in a different order, but the last sentence is entirely true!)

Hopefully this article has served to be as helpful as the last if not more so. Look out for the third and final part which will detail the economical section of things. Thanks for reading and don't forget to vote and shout this article as well as take a look at the eUK university.
