First steps in eRepublik - Part 1 (Military)

This is the first of many 'guide to' articles written jointly by the MoHA and MoR to be released throughout the month.. This first issue is a great topic to kick off the series, First steps in eRepublik, and will be split into 3 parts. Hopefully these articles will give all you new players an insight into what we recommend you should do in your first few days in order to get set up.

Right so let's say you've just joined, you're getting used to the layout and WHAM! A wild friend request appears! Then another, and another! When you sign up, you will most likely receive a lot of friend requests and messages from members of political parties, doing their pitch to get you to join them.

You will receive a message from the current Country President (right now this is Jimbojoy) welcoming you to the country and telling you of important things about the eUK and the various government funded schemes that you can sign up to in order to receive free supplies, we recommend that you do this in order to either utilise the supplies or sell them on for a bit of profit.

A key thing to do is find a job (usually the highest on the market is the best!) and train in your free training centre.



The first thing that you should do after you have dealt with the friend requests and the welcome message is complete as many of the missions on the left hand side of the screen as you can in order to haul in the rewards which can be used later on. Now a lot of you new players will be wanting to go fight some enemies, but before you go off to fight some enemies you should join a military unit in order to get yourself supplies to fight more efficiently. (Ask in the Military Unit’s feed how to get supplies, someone will tell you how)

Let's make a move onto military based gameplay. In order to become a fully fledged member of a military unit you are required to defeat 10 enemies on any battlefield. This can be easily achieved, even by a new player. Just hit the 'fight' button 10 times and the game will automatically defeat the enemies and remove the corresponding amount of energy required to defeat the enemy. When you run out of energy you should hit the 'recover energy' button on the left hand panel and all of your energy will recover, unless you have run out of food or need to wait for you to be able to recover further. At any one time you can have a full bar of energy and 1 full refill in reserve.

To recover energy you will need food that can be brought at the marketplace for GBP. Always look for a daily order on your eRepublik homepage so that you can build a good stockpile of energy bars and bazookas in order to make a run for a Battle Hero medal when you can!



TIP: Do NOT waste your gold on Energy Bars (the orange candy bars) or buying companies. You should save your gold and upgrade your free training centre before you focus on anything else!

Hopefully this article has given you an insight into the military based gameplay you will experience over your first few days on eRepublik. The next part will focus on politics and then the final part will detail the economics of the game.
