First steps in eRepublik - Part 3 (Economics)

Hey there!

This is the 3rd and final part of the 'First steps in eRepublik' guide and today we'll be focusing on the economics of the game. Hopefully this can give any of the new eRepublik players out there an insight into this section of the game that is often under so much scrutiny from a lot of players. So let's get underway then!

So as for economics, it's a pretty simple topic really, when you are first setting yourself up in eRepublik you will need to find a job. There are two benefits of getting a job:

- You will be able to earn a steady income every day which you can then save up or spend on supplies.
- Working every day contributes to your 'Hard Worker' medal, if you work for 30 days consecutively then you earn one, this medal yields 5 gold as a reward.

Jobs are available via the 'job market' and there is a minimum wage you are allowed to be paid, currently 0.1 GBP per day, however the first page of the 'job market' shows the jobs with the highest pay. Working for somebody costs 10 energy and can only be done once per day, even if you try switching your employer you will still only be able to work once per day. Getting a job is a must for any new eRepublik player!

.In regards to companies, you can purchase and run companies for gold or GBP and use your own energy to get supplies, however this is not recommended for new players. Do not waste money on buying companies or raw material buildings because that gold/GBP can be put to better use buying supplies or upgrading your training grounds. Also, some political parties and military units run commune jobs, you work for them and receive either an extremely high wage or a lot of supplies. These quite often require you to be a member of the party or military unit in order to take part in.

Yours sincerely,
