Greetings!
I have to say that this month was full of working for me, as Minister of Economy and Finance.
Firstly, on the beginning of mandate, I published important article for new players, and it's about gold spendings. If you didn't see article, I advice you to do so, and you can do it by clicking here. Even it's more related to education and Ministry of Home Affairs, I decided to use my tutor skills and write it, and I am really happy to see big amount of votes there.
Now, another topic. Marketplace was my biggest goal of this month. I wanted to decrease price of Q7 weapons, because they're the most wanted in eRepublik. The main problem of Swiss market is we don't have our own producers, therefore, price can be only high! It's because the foreign players are "exposed" to taxes, and they can't put it low, also, the lack of concurention allows them to put price however they like! I was thinking couple of days searching for a solution. The question was - How to sell products for low price and still make place for profit? I have contacted Lotus Black and Rican, to inform them about my advices, which were:
1. Decreasing taxation to foreign players (importers)
2. Producing own weapons, workers work for low salary, selling weapons cheap.
If we analyze both of ideas, they seem to be out of reality range, and they are. Namely, decreasing taxation is impossible, because we don't have congress, and we don't have time to wait untill we get it. Also, I didn't want to let importers decide whether they will sell for cheap of high price, if you want to do something good, do it yourself! Second idea was really hard for making it work. Buying Q7 weapons company is kinda expensive, and it may be tough job to find workers who will work for really low price. That's the moment when I put my hands in #ITrade chanel. For those who don't know, it's the biggest selling chanel in eWorld, people sell things there really cheap, but you have to be aware of scammers. Okay, I start doing it, but tax didn't allow me to put it same as price when bought. First I put my price of 10.49 CHF's, when the next price was 13 CHF.
I still wasn't satisfied, it was definetly lower price, but I always compared price in region. In other countries (I usualy looked to Slovenia), price was about 2 CHF's lower. Then, I was thinking again, and I find solution which will make our marketplace secured, which will make people stay here and buy weapons here, not moving to other country. Let's call that idea "Lukaism", as easier to say then "New way of making our marketplace cheap and attractive".
What's the point of lukaism?
The point of lukaism is selling product extremely cheap, but not being in loose, but in small profit still!
I will explain you now through the examples how does it work:
1. Country have (e.g.) 30 000 CHF's.
2. I get money from country accounts. Let's say I got 10 000 CHF's.
3. Now, in country treasury there is a total of 20 000 CHF's.
4. I bought 1000 by price of 10 CHF's using #iTrade carefully. (in reality, I buy smaller amount, and a way lower price, this is just in purpose of easier example).
5. I sell on Swiss marketplace for price of 10.1 CHF. Let's say tax in total is 1 CHF.
6. Here comes the math part. Buyer bought all of weapons in stockpile, that is 1000 weapons. As he bought 1000, and tax per unit is 1 CHF, the total money going to country accounts is 1000. The total money going to me is 10,1(price) x 1000(weapons in stockpile) - 1000(tax money, which go to country). The total money going to me is 9100 CHF.
7. I can end it right now, I send 9100 to country accounts (but I can save them and make another trade) and, the total money in country accounts is 30100 CHF's. We are in profit of 100 CHF (which is not that much, but it's good we're not in loose and we made our marketplace cheaper.
So, that'll be how it works. This was accepted by president Rican, and I start doing it after I got money. You can see how I worked on picture below, or you may saw it on market already:
As you can see, I worked hard, but then I stopped. My account was hacked, and all money is stolen, over 70 golds and money donated from country accounts. I lost will of playing game, however big friend Rican made me stay here! Admins are investigating case.

Good to see working Luka. Lukaism sounds good.
But why not try the government procurement of products on the cheap market?
For example, in a company producing in Poland or China?
