Join the new world

Hello everyone, sorry for not publishing sooner but the events just seem to keep making its way onto this update,. But no excuses, please continuing reading this article about International Relations by the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the month of March. Without further ado please meet you Foreign Affairs team:

I am very glad to have both Darko and thedragon in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both have many contacts worldwide and will be put to work, as i like to keep a tight nit Ministry. We will be doing our best to update Belgium on all the events internationally and especially effecting Belgium.



Non Aggression Pact: eBE & eNL
Last month our relations with the Netherlands took a turn with the worst with a natural enemy proposal passing from the Netherlands, luckily no conflict erupted as our borders were blocked off. But in hopes to restore our relations The Ministry of Foreign Affairs team has been hard at work creating a Memorandum of Understanding consisting of a Non Aggression Pact in order to promote a platform of peace and prosperity to build relations upon for Belgium and the Netherlands. The treaty Emphasizes preventing aggression between our countries and a platform for improving communication and coordination. I look forward to a improvement of relations between our countries and a fruitful future.

The Chocolate Treaty
A little housekeeping was in order as normal for every start of the term. I am very happy to announce that Belgium and Switzerland are continuing to resign The Chocolate Unification Treaty. The first (original treaty was created during the term of BrunoCND), with tommot as MoFA. This link shows the contents of the final version of the treaty signed by both governments from three months ago can be found here. The only difference with the current treaty and the ones from the previous months is the date of the signatures and the signatures them selfs. The contents are essentially the same. The updated treaty is on a gdoc!

Sirius
This past week on the 10th Sirius elected a new HQ, The HQ leads the allaince and consists of the following people: A Secretary General (SG) and a corresponding deputy which handles the leadership and poltiical aspect of the allaince. Their is also a Military Commander (MC) and a deputy which handles the coordination and the defense ,and strategy of the allaince. The new HQ is as follows:

As well as a new HQ, ProSirius had a meeting with HQ wendsday, HQ conveyed the suggestion from Sirius members for ProSirius to think about the creation of a new secondary allaince as a temporary solution to membership as Sirius has closed it's doors for now. Belgium is looking further into this suggestion with other ProSirius nations and will continue its path just being ProSirius for now. Sirius has it's reasons for closing their membership doors which is understandable and Belgium is perfectly fine and satisfied with being ProSirius for now. More updates about this will be coming soon, but for now there is nothing to worry about.

The Situation regarding Moldova
At the beginning of this term, Belgium was still occupied by Moldova, and Moldova was further making their way into The United Kingdom. In essence collaboration with The United Kingdom and Poland led to: After Two resistance wars in Brussels and Wallonia both successful and a Natural enemy coming from Poland against Moldova, with Poland making their way from removing Moldova from Belgium in Flanders, officially removing Moldova from Belgium. A few days later as seen in the update by the UK CP The Equalist, Moldova was removed from The United Kingdom. I would like to congratulate The United Kingdom and extend a thank you to both Poland and The United Kingdom for declaring Natural Enemy's against Moldova and officially Ending their AirStrike into Belgian and British territory.

Rekindling a forgotten friendship
I have made it a goal throughout my various terms as Minister of Foreign Affairs to rekindle lost friendships as well as continue to improve and sustain onto the ones we already have. Today I am proud to announce a old friend of Belgium will once again be standing by our side, Venezuela! If you haven't seen by now The Country President of Venezuela proposed a Mutual Protection Pact (MPP) with Belgium. This is the start of the efforts to rekindle our friendship and I am more than pleased to have them by our side. As well as a MPP both Foreign Affairs teams are aiming to create a IRC channel which will house our bilateral relations. The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published a article which I encourage everyone to check out, it can be found here. Although it is in spanish it mentions a contest to name the new channel, for a reward of 5 gold to the winner! Share your name for the new channel by commenting "My suggestion for the Channel name is xxxx" it will end in 48 hours from the time the Venezuelan MoFA team published the article. I have been doing my best to study up on Belgium Venezuelan relations , from reading the embassy on the forums which mentions both countries assisting each other in times of war, to various articles published by citizens and the state. I will be hoping to publish a article later on in the term about the history of our relations, once I gather more information.
