Let op! We gaan deze maand alle oude artikelen herzien, omdat er nogal wat veranderingen zijn geweest met gevolgen voor onder meer marktprijzen. Dit maakt oude artikelen niet irrelevant, maar check even of bijvoorbeeld de genoemde waarde van voedsel en wapens marktconform is.



De vraag van vandaag: hoe kun je geld verdienen op de Monetaire Markt?
In eerdere artikelen hebben we al eens voorzichtig gerefereerd aan de mogelijkheid om te speculeren op de monetaire markt. Dat houdt altijd een risico in en zeker als nieuwe speler kun je niet te veel risico lopen. Maar als je weet wat je doet, en de tijd hebt om je offers in de gaten te houden dan kun je hiermee zeker leuk bijverdienen.



Allereerst: hoe werkt de monetaire markt? Op de MM wisselen spelers goud om voor geld en andersom. Voor sommige aankopen heb je geld nodig (wapens en voedsel), voor aanschaf en upgrades van fabrieken en training facilities juist weer goud. De waarde van goud stijgt als er relatief meer vraag is dan aanbod en de waarde daalt als er meer aanbod is dan vraag. Er zijn vier manieren om te handelen op de MM:



1. Je koopt geld dat andere spelers aanbieden (buy)



Heb je genoeg goud, maar snel cash nodig, dan lijkt dit logisch. Maar met de huidige goudwaarde levert dit automatisch verlies op. Dat heeft ermee te maken dat de goudwaarde wordt omgerekend naar 1 NLG en afgerond op 0,001. Zolang de waarde van goud gelijk is aan 1000 NLG (0,001), 500 NLG (0,002) of 333 NLG (0,003) maakt dat niet uit. Maar wel als de prijs net onder deze kritische grenzen zit. Een voorbeel😛

Op dit moment schommelt de waarde van 1 goud rond de 210 NLG (omgerekend 0,00476 goud per NLG waardoor het voor 0,005 wordt aangeboden). Koop je nu 1000 NLG, dan betaal je dus 5 goud. Maar 5 goud is eigenlijk meer waar😛 ongeveer 1050 NLG.Je betaalt dus 50 NLG te veel!



2. Je zet zelf goud te koop (add offer)



Met de huidige goudwaarde kun je beter zelf een offer plaatsen waarbij je goud te koop aanbiedt tegen de laagste prijs op dat moment (gewoon 0,001 onder de laagste vraagprijs gaan zitten). Stel je de laagste prijs is 210 NLG, dan zet je je goud te koop voor 209,999. Je goud wordt vrijwel direct opgekocht.



3. Je koopt goud dat andere spelers aanbieden (buy)



Heb je wel geld maar geen goud, en je hebt het snel nodig dan kun je het aankopen. Het voordeel is dat je direct je goud in handen hebt, voor de beste prijs op dat moment. Als je de MM in de gaten houdt en koopt als de prijs laag staat en weer verkoopt als de prijs stijgt kun je hierop zelfs een klein beetje verdienen. Maar de prijs kan natuurlijk ook dalen nadat je hebt aangekocht, waardoor je verliest.



4. Je zet zelf geld te koop (add offer)



Heb je geduld en het goud niet echt nodig, dan is dit dé manier om winst te maken. Hier speelt hetzelfde principe als uitgelegd onder punt 1. Alleen ben jij nu degene die geld verdient. Maar... zijn natuurlijk meer spelers die dit proberen en het duurt gemiddeld zo’n 10 dagen voordat jouw offer bovenaan de lijst staat. Staat je offer er te lang op, dan vervalt je aanbod en moet je weer opnieuw beginnen (wat af en toe gebeurt).

Stel je zet 1000 NLG te koop voor 0,005 goud. Als dit wordt verkocht, dan ontvang jij 5 goud, die je weer te koop zet voor 1050 NLG. Nu is die 50 NLG dus winst voor jou!



Wat zijn de risico’s?
Op dit moment is de markt redelijk stabiel, maar je moet het in de gaten houden. Komt er ineens veel goud op de markt, waardoor de goudprijs onder de 200 NLG zakt terwijl jij NLG uit hebt staan, dan wordt je geld onder de marktprijs verkocht!

Stel je zet 1000 NLG te koop voor 0,005 goud en de prijs zakt naar 190 NLG. Je geld wordt verkocht voor 5 goud, omgerekend 950 NLG. Je verliest dus 50 NLG!



Nog een paar do's en don'ts die je verder kunnen helpen:

1. Je kunt maximaal 10 goud per dag ontvangen op je account: is je offer 1 NLG voor 0,005 goud, dan heeft het geen zin om meer dan 2000 NLG aan te bieden (2000 x 0,005 = 10). De rest vervalt gewoon.

2. Houd de MM in de gaten: zakt de goudprijs onder de 200 NLG, pas je offer dan direct aan naar 0,006.

3. Andersom geldt ook: stijgt de goudprijs boven de 250 NLG, pas je offer dan direct aan naar 0,004.

4. Haal je offer voor de zekerheid van de markt als de goudwaarde tegen een kritische grens aanzit en je kunt het niet actief volgen. Loop zeker geen risico met goud dat je nodig hebt.

5. Haal je goud offer van de markt als je het goud nodig hebt bij een upgrade discount voor je training facilities. Een investering voor de lange termijn gaat voor!

Today’s question: How to make money on the Monetary Market?
In previous articles, we already referred to the option to speculate on the monetary market. This always contains some risk and especially as a new player you cannot afford to run too much risk. But if you know what you are doing, and you have the time to follow your offers, it sure is a nice way to make some extra money.



First of all: how does the monetary market work? On the MM players exchange gold for money and vice versa. For some purchases you need money (weapons and food), gold on the other hand for buying and upgrading of factories and training facilities. The value of gold rises if there is relatively more demand than offer and the value goes down if there is more offer than demand. There are four ways to trade on the MM:



1. You buy money other people are offering (buy)



If you have enough gold, but need some quick cash, this seems to make sense. But at the current goldrate it means an instant loss. The reason is that the value of gold is expressed in NLG and rounded at 0,001. As long as the value of gold equals 1000 NLG (0,001), 500 NLG (0,002) or 333 NLG (0,003) this doesn’t matter. But it does when it goes just below these critical limits. An example:

At the moment the value of gold circles a little around 210 NLG (expressed in gold 0,00476, making people offer money at 0,005). Would you buy 1000 NLG now, you would pay 5 gold. But 5 gold is actually worth more: 1050 NLG. So in fact you pay 50 NLG too much!



2. You put gold on the market yourself (add offer)



With the current gold rate the smarter thing to do is put an offer on the market offering gold at the lowest price at that moment (just put it on the market at 0,001 lower). Say the lowest offer is 210 NLG, you put your gold on the market for 209.999. Your gold will be sold almost instantly.



3. You buy gold other people are offering (buy)



If you have money but no gold, and you need gold fast you can buy it off the market. The benefit is that you have your gold immediately, for the best price at that moment. If you keep a close eye on the MM, and buy when the gold price is low to sell when it goes up again, you can even make a little money here. But of course the price can also drop after your purchase, making you lose money.



4. You put money on the market yourself (add offer)



If you have patience and do not really need the gold, this is the way to make the bigger profit. Thanks to the same principle as explained under point 1. Only the advantage is yours this time. Still... you are not the only player trying to make a few bucks here and it takes about 10 days before your offer is on top of the list.Has your offer been on the market for too long, the offer will expire and you have to start all over again (which happens every now and then).

Say, you put 1000 NLG for sale asking 0,005 gold. If someone buys your money, you receive 5 gold. You sell it for 1050 NLG. Now the 50 NLG is profit for you!




What are the risks?
At the moment the market is pretty stable, but you must keep a close eye on the gold price. If a lot of gold is put up for sale at once, the goldprice may drop below 200 NLG while your money is still on the market. It will instantly be sold under the market value!
Say you are selling 1000 NLG for 0,005 gold as the price drops to 190 NLG. Your money will be sold for 5 gold, at a value of 950 NLG. So you lose 50 NLG!




A few do's and don'ts that can help you ahea😛
1. You can only receive a maximum of 10 gold on your account a day: if you offer NLG at the rate of 0,005 gold, there is no point offering more than 2000 NLG (2000 x 0,005 = 10). The rest expires.

2. Keep your eye on the MM: drops the gold below 200 NLG, change your NLG offer to 0,006 right away.

3. The same goes if the goldprice is rising: when it reaches 250 NLG, change the offer to 0.004.

4. Take no risk and take your offer from the market if the goldprice is near a critical limit and you cannot follow it actively enough. Don’t run any risk with gold you need.

5. Take your offer from the market if a discount offer comes by for upgrading your training facilities. A long-term investment overrules the quick win.
