Mittekemuis for president! Times two!

Review of the month May.



First of all let me tell you I had a great time running eBelgium for the last couple of weeks. Before I tell you what my plans are for next month I would like to look back and evaluate me and my cabinet. There are things that developed quit nicely and other things still need a lot of attention. Some members of cabinet did an excellent job others not so much.

The first promise I made last month was to try and make a babyboom happen. Although Pieter and I tried we failed to let it happen. We made a few babies though but not a large group of players.
The vice president has done an excellent job. He has been there all the way to discus things and to pick up things I couldn’t do myself.
In Home affairs things are running good. Elynea has done an excellent job with the training academy. Communication and transparency in this department could have been better. Ernest has done a good job in the immigration department and Monsieur Guillontine has done some interesting articles on my request.
The finance department has worked hard this month. Ward de Bever is constantly thinking of ways to improve the economical status of each and one of us. He made several proposals some of which will never come in to action because not all get approved by congress.
The foreign affairs department has had a few setbacks this month. First there was the resignation from NFR who got replaced by Fhaemita. I had to relieve fabio86 from his duties because he wasn’t active. I am partly to blame in that matter. First of all I should have acted sooner and secondly foreign affairs is my forte so maybe I took on too much myself.
A lot can be said about the military. It has been the main issue of the past month. My heart lays in the army and I am glad NLSP and ThomasRed have taken it upon them to develop the army to something all Belgians can be proud of. I must admit I can’t take any credit for that. Together with the other generals and the MoF, theories and possibilities have been worked out. Congress is very critical about it with good reason but as it stands now we don’t have “the perfect solution”.My MoD team failed this month which resulted in the fact that citizen orders weren't always up to date and so I finally took over and wrote them myself or let my ehusband do it. Like with the foreign affairs department I waited too long to take measures but I also fired Chris Stanwick from his duties as MoD.

Home Affairs



Education

The training academy is running smoothly but can use some more transparency. Together with the food for new citizen program we created a system to track what goes in and comes out.. What people donate. Who donates.This system isn’t in use at the moment but I intent to implement it with the help from the Finance department and the education team.

Immigration

Immigration policy will be the same as previous month. Things go fairly well so I see no need to change anything.

Foreign Affairs



First thing this month is getting this department back on track. Fhaemita who is now appointed minister of foreign affairs is making a start already and will continue his efforts into next month.
I will also continue here in the line of last month. Maintaining good relations with our neighbours is still a priority as is keeping our neutrality. Therefore we will choose our MPPs very careful.

Finances/Economy



I will involve the finance department some more to advice me about financing the army.
There’s always adapting going on to economical changes and expenses and income need to remain tracked.

Defence - BAF



As a soldier, I had lots of fun in the past days striking together with my mates in battles. I will continue to work on increasing supplies.
In my opinion BAF is the army of eBelgium. It is lead by its generals, not by congress. They are in charge of managing BAF and getting out the best of the soldiers. The MoD should be the link between BAF and congress. He can create citizen orders and look after the funding and the money and report back to congress.

Cabinet

I would like to see a few cabinet members keeping their posts.
In Home affairs I see Elynea in the education department with a new partner who is also member in the academy. Ernest has agreed on doing the migration department like last month.
For the entertainment I will need a candidate.
Foreign affairs has Fhaemita but he can use a partner and the finance department needs a new minister as well.
I am also looking for a new minister of defence who is willing to be liaison between the army and congress. Who is very active on irc and can change citizens orders during the day if they have to be adapted.
