What brings a mighty eUS citizen to our fair nation 5 days before a CP election? Is it love of our poutine? A desire to wear flannel shirts? No my friends, it is something far more insidious, depraved and evil, it is nothing short of a vanity project.
Yes folks, shocking, I know but it is true. We have before us a President, who admittedly does good work down south with his MU and has in the past helped eCanada out; he is also one who is largely marginalized by the real power-brokers of the eUS. You see, his political acumen is not highly regarded by those who 'matter' in the eUS, he is viewed as one with much energy but little understanding of the situations. It has been said to me that he has never had a problem with a situation he couldn't buy his way out of.
Whoa, whoa Leo, aren't you being a little harsh? It's true, my language seems to be very mean-spirited and troll-like. I also know many of you would say that's how I've always been and you wouldn't be 100% wrong, but I must stop you here for a moment. I don't dislike DMV the player, he seems nice, he appears to be capable (if the success of his MU is any indicator) and he probably is earnest. My problem is that his heart is not in the right place.
The real reason DMV came here, 5 days before the CP elections, was because he really truly wants a shiny CP medal on his profile. That's it, end of story. Oh sure the articles he wrote about being a 'non-partisan force' to help 'heal eCanada' were great soundbites and seemed like a fantastic strategy but they are no strategy. All we have from our great new CP so far is a month long 'tax holiday'....whoopee!
So this is how it's going to go down folks, we're gonna get our Tax Holiday, we'll sign some MPPs and that's about it. DMV will talk about resuming the brolliance, but I have it on good authority that the upper echelon of the eUS has no desire to resurrect such an alliance. Why would they? Most of our biggest earners/oldest citizens already live in the US, we are a small and weak nation just getting up off our knees. The dream DMV is selling you is a lie, it is a lie told only to facilitate his own vainglorious ambitions.
I for one won't lie down and take this cheapening of our highest office lightly. I sincerely hope the rest of you don't either.

For a guy who just wants a medal, DMV made quite a few changes in the last couple days that quite a few others approve of. I looked back at the tax rates and WRM Import has been at 99% for almost ever and eCanada has been raking in tax dollars with a 25% tax on food for months and months.
I know I have a wildly different perspective on things compared to people who have been around forever...but I just can't get past the notion of why this wasn't done sooner. I guess it took an outsider to make the right changes.

Its the location not the amount of time, usually in the past proposals are made in Open Door Congress or Closed not the public discussion section
Though the CRoO doesnt specify it only says "Any congressman wishing to put forward an in game proposal must post their reasons either on the forums or in an article in game" so if a congressman posts something anywhere on the forums he is basically allowed to and it still counts. Things are posted in ODC so that every congress member knows exactly whats going on and more importantly where its going on as only 3 people allowed to vote in game participated in the tax holiday discussion
Someone needs to fix the CRoO and the Speaker needs to get his shit together, though this isnt a big deal

For a guy just after a medal he sure has been working 24/7 for us after he got the medal. Also the main reason DMV got into trouble with the elite in the USA was for having USA MU's fight for us and for calling out the fat cats in the US for living off the government tit.

Actually no. I donated tons of food, tanks and money to multiple CPs for attempts at freedom. I tanked hundreds of millions in damage to help you, when my DO was set to the opposite. YOU have no idea what I was doing while you were sitting in your misery doing nothing in a wiped nation.
I tanked at least two billion for Canada, spent several 100k on Mercs, and arranged for additional MUs to fight for Canada. You have no idea what I did because you were not around. I'm trying to appreciate that Leo wants us to pay attention to Canadian politics. I do not like it that it reads as an attempt to cast doubt on the efforts of DMV, but I'm really trying to see it as a message that Canadians need to get involved in leading the country. When looking at old election records, it's surprising to see how many have left for other places or just left the game entirely.
While he was in the UK his TP Damage doesn't accumulate. Comon guys, basic stuff. If he did that much damage just doing DOs and stuff in the UK then just picture how much he did for us. It isn't hard.

We all know that if Leo's MU hadn't got involved eCan would still be under eSpain's rule. You didn't win back your regions through force. You won them back by eUK pressuring TWO into handing them back.
