The best body is the people themselves. That is why I openly encourage people to write articles which is then rewarded by the Ministry of Community. Let's bring every debate and opinion to the people of the country. And then let an educated, briefed and experienced Executive make the important decisions.

This article and others by the IFP do fall under that thought process, don't they?

Entirely, everything is heard and debated. But at the end of the day - my Executive is firm on our stance regarding the use of congress and constitutions.

Ireland has had numerous constitutions in our history, they all disappear as they just don't work.

The game is at a faster pace now than ever before, decisions need to be made quickly. I feel this is entirely what the Executive for. While there is no congress, you still have your voice, an input and the ability to be an active citizen. Adding congress allows you one small extra - Yes or no to an MPP which we've signed for the past few months? Yes or no on doing a Training War. You've said yourself that congress would have agreed with more or less all of my proposals, so why have a congress that delays processes to rubber stamp.

I fully understand your thinking as you fully understand mine - but my position is firm. A strong leadership, an active population and a strong military. All of which we are achieving at levels we have not seen in months.

But you must understand Sluagh that some feel left out. If you aren't a heavy fighter or have the gold to upgrade companies/training, there's not much left for you to do but watch from the sidelines and have no input in what occurs. I don't think it even matters if Congress is listened to or not, but by having one, people feel that they have a larger say and feel more involved than when they just read what's happened/going to happen in an article.

If you feel left out, get involved at an executive level, I welcome people to become involved within my Governmental structure. The Irish Army is always looking for extra hands to help out in different roles.

There is literally always little small things to be done and ways to get involved. Come onto IRC (activity is at its peak in #IrishArmy for the past 2 years).

If involvement for you circulates around saying "Yes" in a message thread then I don't know if you really have that much interest in this game. Write articles, create debate in a complete public domain. If you write an article that gets a lot of support - the government will look to try and do what it can to implement this (my exception being reinstate a token congress).

An example of involvement in society was the CC role - nobody wanted it, Shytach did it for 4 months without wanting the job as nobody else would do it. The previous governments for four months promised a new Constitution but never did it - there is an area that was crying out for roleplayers/non-fighting individuals to get involved in - nobody did.

There has always been a lack of people willing to get involved in a level more than voting in congress. This is the issue. Get involved in Executive or public sphere. Not a middle-ground which is just individuals throwing muck at one another.

Fact is - the system you are campaigning for failed numerous times in the past, failed again and I am implementing a new system. Watch the results.

You are mistaken on the CC point, several other people were interested in the role, myself included this last time. On the point of the roleplayers not rewriting the Constitution, that assumes that all the interested parties were in the Cabinet or on the committee, they weren't. I agree that things failed due to closed door policies, which is why the IFP wants to open those doors, not lock them.

well, the MoC is supposed to be non-partisan. your article was a political party advertisement, the definition of partisan. it wouldn't do at all to have the MoC paying parties to advertise themselves.

If the point of articles is to encourage debate, including political debate, then why wouldn't a Political Party article be eligible? Where are the written rules of the MoC policy that was an open ended invitation to increase the activity of eIrish newspapers, have we not done so?

But Ronisu, his article didn't encourage ANY debate. There was no actual talk on the article, hell, WHS himself opened the comment section with a line of 'cue the trolls'.
He immediately discarded any response and any chance at debate. That is not an article meant to encourage debate, but a pure propaganda smear. I personally don't see how an article like that is deserving of praise, let alone financial compensation.

BUT. If WHS really feels so damaged by the lack of 100cc, I would be glad to give it to him from my own reserves.

Alpha, once you open the door to one individual determining which ideas are rewarded or discarded it can be implemented across the board. I am a metrics person, I would include a metrics threshold or a committee of multiple people from multiple parties to award that sort of thing. Surely Community can have a Congressional Committee, I doubt many MoC proposals need to be acted on in less than 24 hours.

For example, perhaps someone could argue my articles are political advertisements. The opened debate, but also encouraged people to check out the IFP, if we ban political advertisements, then some of the most active articles of this week are disqualified. What would you have us talk about instead?

Ronisu, fair enough, I would be pretty open to a committee determining which articles get the reward.

That being said I think we can agree that there is a great difference between your article and WHSes article.
Your articles actually have debates under them! Clashes of opinion, trade of ideas, different points of view! Things worthy of praise and rewards.
WHSes article shut down all those things in his first comment. He didn't even bother to post a single reply after that.
