Hello again Ireland, time for another update.


Fighting for Friends

One of my aims this term was to take back our reputation as a reliable ally when called on for help. This could not be going any better at the moment. Bosnia, Croatia and Portugal have all called on us for help and we have provided, significantly helping all 3 to win battles. We've also helped Greece and Germany to win battles also. 9000 Tanks have been funded by the Irish Government to hit for allies and many many more by individual Irish Military Units. This is working wonders for our Foreign relations and long may it continue.


Resistance Wars
Typically the Resistance Wars we have to defend in Scotland and Northern Ireland have been easy to deal with because of our peace deal with UK. However on a couple of occasions, our old friend lolfagrem decided to poke his nose in in Scotland. He tanked there a few times, probably just to test out what sort of reaction he'd get. The one he got was one of the strangest occurrences I've seen in a while. Romper and the Bulgarians(lol) and Irish and Brits all fighting side by side, for Ireland against UK(Alfagrem) in Scotland. It shows that the leaders of the UK are committed to keeping their end of the bargain. Alfagrem is not doing his own country any favours by tanking against a country they have a peace deal with, while his country faces invasion on two other fronts, and this makes the UKs decision to send support to Ireland in Scotland all the more commendable as they had other battles ongoing at the time. One can only assume that Alfag is a little butthurt that he spent a million euros to wipe Ireland and now has nothing to show for it.

Finance
As usual this ministry has been running like a dream with Sweet organising and overseeing the Dividend project. I have not seen another country where the finance department works so hard for the well-being and progression of the nations citizens. Myself and a few other similar cases presented an eligibility 'grey area' for Sweet and our shares were sent to two of the most worthy and worthwhile places, the Community
and the Boot Camp. The free 24/7 Tanks project has also continued to run with minimal problems thanks to the hard work of our supplying team and I'd like to thank each and every one of them for all the work they have put in to keep this wonderful project going.


Goodbye to Kurdt(for now)
One of our suppliers and vMoD, Kurdt has decided to go to eSpain and I'd like to thank him for everything he has done to help this term. I did not know him before this term, but it has become clear to me that he is a great worker and has Ireland at heart. He will certainly be missed and the first few days without him were difficult without an immediate replacement. Best of luck Kurdt and come back soon please.


MPPs
We've re-signed our MPPs with Belarus, Netherlands, Finland, Israel, Germany, Russia, Colombia and Albania. We've also sorted out the problems we had in holding our Greek MPP and also currently have a proposal ongoing for Ukrainian MPP.


Community
Thanks to James and Pat who have run this ministry very well this month. As well as dealing with our recent Referendum they have been very active with the Community Awards and quizzes. Congratulations to all the winners of the awards and especially to Yddub who won the Lifetime Achievement. To some, Yddub's achievement in his e-lifetime would be his massive tanking in the past, often times showing up and giving us all a reason to fight in battles that we had considered lost. But for me and many others, Yddub's e-lifetime achievement here has been the fact that he has been the glue that has kept the place together. While the rest of us would be busy bitching and trolling each other, he would be the one to step in and slap everyone around a bit to restore some order. For me, his achievement is being a real man of the community. Congrats Yddub and thank you for just being yourself. Hopefully some day you get to come have a pint with myself and Padraig 🙂



On another note regarding Community, myself and moo have tried to keep our respective orcs in order seeing as Kurgan has failed so miserably in that role. Basically we have agreed to a cease-fire between our 'two camps' and so far it seems to be working ok and hopefully it continues. While we may never be the Waltons, we can certainly try to let each other get on with business.


Recruitment
So far all attempts here have had little success mainly because of a lack of support from people here. However I've been informed by the MoR that he got one reply from a Journalist in the Irish Independent who says he will "take a look at it" so even that is more than anyone here has ever achieved before.


Congress
Congratulations to all decent Congress members who have just been elected. We've had a few stupid proposals already though. I'd hope that Congress can organise itself properly and elect an active head of congress who at the very least will open a congress/cabinet group PM ingame to keep congress informed and organised. So, Congress, get off your ass and sort yourself out please.


Reminder to Irish Citizens for Free Tanks Daily
Irish Citizens can get ALL the tanks they can use, all day, every day. All you need to do is-

1- Join #IrishArmy
2- Check the Orders on the channel or Campaign of the Day
3- Fill out this form
4- Use your weapons to Fight where one of the Commanding officers asks
5- Be a Citizen of Ireland or be a member of an Irish State recognised Military Unit or be a known member of the wider e-Irish Community
