Hello my fellow eCanadians and welcome to this Months Debate.

For those of you who don't know, so everyone, I have decided that I will be hosting debates for CP candidates on a monthly basis. I hope in the future that these will begin having more spectators and more questions to be asked, but for now, I am glad with the outcome.

So, this month we have 4 Major Candidates Running for the Chair (JRB4CP, amirite?)

I will be posting the Question, followed immediately by the responses of the 3 Candidates. If you wish to see further explanation for some questions, as in some cases clarification was requested, then please feel free to read the Complete Logs of the Debate which can be found at the end of the article.

Candidates

Dennis McVicker, who unfortunately could not participate in this months debate due to RL commitments and short notice, however he will be sent the questions and if he responds in time they will be added to the article. Supported by 4 Parties, not too long ago 1x CP of eCanada.

TheDillPickl, supported by 2 Parties, and former 1x CP of eSwitzerland before immigrating to eCanada.

CptKaydee, supported by 1 Party, and long time eCanadian.

Kazuo Leblanc, supported by 1 Party, and old eCanadian, former 1x CP quite some time ago in eCanada.



Question: What is your go-to insult?



CptKaydee: "You Capitalist Scum"

Kazuo Leblanc: "Fk you, you fkn blowjob"

TheDillPickl: "Idiot"



Question: Who do you consider to be eCanada's closest Ally/Allies? and Friend/Friends?



CptKaydee: I'd have to say everyone in LETO, they have been a great help to our war effort and they deserve a great thanks from the Canadian people.

Kazuo Leblanc: Serbia and France. I’d like to make use of that semester of French I took and pursue even closer relations with France during my government

TheDillPickl: France, Portugal and Argentina have paid us a significant service in the past. MEK MU has particularly been friendly. Really there are several 'people' from many countries I consider friendly.



Question: What are your plans in regards to the USA occupation?



CptKaydee: As mentioned in my articles, the People's Republic of Canada Space Program is offering a chance to free our three northern territories that can used to launch an air strike on a non-neighbouring country. This airstrike will be used to escape American occupation and expending elsewhere in the world.

Kazuo Leblanc: I plan to lead Canada as an Artcic Country. We will liberate one or two arctic regions and hold them, not stretch ourself too thin by trying to go for the whole hog, changing the whole ‘wiped’ narrative

TheDillPickl: I've received criticism for continuing on with RW's to wear them down. What people fail to remember is that the famed Spanish wipe prior to the attack on the UK that got us in this mess was not over in a month or two either.

Simple answer is wear them down. Then when LETO gets a chance there will be serious retribution and the US may very well want to stay out of Canada on their own accord.



Question: As many of you know, eCanadian society has been an issue in terms of activity and/or size in the past. Do you have any plans to address these issues? If so, expand.



CptKaydee: There is very little we can do in terms of attempting to bring in new players or bring back the old. But I will look into seeing if we have eCanada forums setting where we can email all previous members of the forum in an attempt to bring back former players.

Kazuo Leblanc: I have no direct plans to address these issues. My priority is liberating one or two territories, holding them, and having a congress in 20 days. That will stimulate interest and reinvigorate our nation.

TheDillPickl: Nope, I'm running to keep the war effort on track and possibly do some negotiations that may not otherwise be possible. DMV knows people in the US but they know him. They also know me. I will not speak to Dennis's character but people know I don't lie.

I support the building of the community but that is not my purpose here.




Question: As eCanada is unable to access any of our Government Funds, due to lack of congress, how do you plan to make/gather/raise money for eCanada to use for her various costs?



CptKaydee: There are a few methods to continue to have cash flow. My government would continue accept private donations. We may also hold raffles.

Kazuo Leblanc: I intend to release a bond to raise funds, having successfully overseen a bond issue in the past, I intend to guarantee it with at least 300 gold from my personal savings. details will be in my article that comes out after debate was other thing I was going to say

TheDillPickl: My good friend jver and I buy each other 450 gold packs when they have the 'get 50% back' specials. Seriously, those that can support the war effort. I don't expect someone who dosen't buy gold to do too much. There is no reason to worry about it really. That's just how some people that don't mind paying for a little excitement play the game.




At this point in the Discussion, I asked a question to each Candidate specifically in regards to the answers they had given to the previous questions.



Question for Kaydee: You mentioned earlier that you plan to take advantage of eCanada's potential AS to ensure our safety abroad. Where do you think would be a good AS Target? As well as how do you plan to fund the AS itself?

CptKaydee: I have a list of potential targets, will remain nameless. You don't want a country preparing for an impending Canadian attack. That being said the most difficult part of my plan is its funding, I will seek private funding through donations and maybe raffles. As you may know I am fully against the victory bonds idea because I am not willing to make a promise that government might not keep.



Question for Kazuo Leblanc: You mentioned earlier, that you planned to fight to free several of eCanada's Arctic regions, hold them, and survive in the frigid north. Many eCanadians disagree with simply allowing our occupiers to be in control of the rest of eCanada. What is your response to their concerns? and How do you plan on "holding" said regions as eCanada has been unsuccessful in long term gain thus far?

Kazuo Leblanc: I see this as a temporary foreign and military policy. I see it as a necessary intermediate phase to free and hold fewer regions to bring the US back to the negotiating table. I think that currently we spread ourselves too thin, and try to go for everything. That’s been the pattern of the past few major offensives.

If we redirect and focus, I think we’ll have a more successful outcome



Question for TheDillPickl: Earlier, you referenced our previous Spanish occupation and how it "was not over in a month or two either.", however, many eCanadians do not want a repeat of the Spanish occupation.

How would you respond to these critics, and what are your thoughts on the current occupation compared the the Spanish one?

TheDillPickl: Not to beat a long dead horse but... Seems some CP NE'ed the UK just before the alliances shifted all over the place. :ahem: There was discussion that Spoland would retaliate and possibly occupy for a time then we'd pay 'em off as usual. Unfortunately the new Sirius alliance choose to allow the US to teach us a lesson.

We walked into the UK invasion knowing full well there'd be retaliation. We just had no idea the US would be asshats.

We are simply occupied. People who think there is an easy way out are mistaken. Diplomacy was our best bet but the powers that be in the US are against that. Therefore we wait it out or LETO gets us out. That about all I see.



User Question from "Concerned LETO Citizen": What are your primary goals concerning foreign affairs, with countries potentially shifting out of Leto?

CptKaydee: Pass.

Kazuo Leblanc: I intend to shift our foreign policy. By liberating one ro two regions we will demonstrate our power, which will draw other nations to Leto as well as improve our standing in the alliance.

TheDillPickl: Anyhow, FA is not difficult. Make the right friends and hope they don't crap on you. lol

My focus if elected will to start building bridges to the US. This will involve NO capitulation however.



User Question from Anonymous: The idea of paying back Major MUs in eCanada, for their respective contributions to the eCanadian War Effort, has been brought forth several times. What are your thoughts on this, and how would you go about doing this?



CptKaydee: We in our current economical state any "paying back" will have to wait. WE do need to continually remind them our their great service but any compensation will be impossible.

Kazuo Leblanc: Ditto.

TheDillPickl: I don't think any of the CO's would want repayment, it's what we do. Possibly a small gift of gold when this is all over and a public letter of thanks.

Thus concludes this months debate, and I now realize how much of a wall this text probably looks. But it's definitely worth reading if you aren't sure who to vote for, or who stands for what!
