Training War

My attempts to open a training war has made steady albeit slow progress. My counterpart in Ireland and I had progressed to a good stage regarding a training war between ourselves and Ireland. However Irish forces are soon to be required in the support of allies under occupation, and I agreed this should take precedent over any training wars.

I'm in the later stages of diplomatic negotiations with another Country in the view to opening a training war with them and hopefully soon you'll have a chance to earn some gold via true patriot achievements.

I make no apologies for the time taken in these efforts as we move into an uncertain world, it's a prudent course of action to take care internationally as short-term rash decision could lead to longer term consequences.


Communication

I attended a meeting with Sirius officials and representatives from our fellow allied countries.

In this meeting I proposed no candidates from the United Kingdom for the roles of SG and MC of Sirius (I had no citizens who asked to be in consideration). I also voted 'Yes' to the Ukraine obtaining full membership however the Ukraine failed to attract the required votes therefore a subsequent 'new world' alliance vote, I voted 'Yes' to revoke their membership as part of our agreement with our fellow countries in the Sirius alliance.



Law Proposals

- Mutual Protection Pacts

Indonesia

As mentioned in my last update after discussions with my cabinet, consultation with Congress and diplomatic talks with my presidential counterpart a renewed MPP with our long standing ally Indonesia was proposed to Congress for approval. The proposal will shortly succeed with 26 'Yes' votes to 3 'No' votes.

Turkey

Once again discussions have been had with my cabinet, Congress consulted and diplomatic talks with my presidential counterpart held regarding a renewed MPP with Turkey. The CP of Turkey proposed the MPP to our Congresses for final approval of the re-signing. This straight-forward proposal is currently succeeding 26 'Yes' votes to 2 'No' votes as it should as we are fellow Sirius alliance members.

Macedonia

Our MPP with Macedonia is soon to expire. I see many benefits to a re-signing of this mutual pact of protection primarily being supportive to Macedonia in their conflicts however I'm happy to take consultation from your Congressional representation and listen to feedback to officials from Macedonia on their 'need' for a renewed MPP.
