[GGRyan] Once More, A President?

Day 1,074, 09:01 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by GGRyan

After the last month of my game as President of the eUK, my mind and soul is battered - we've had ups, and my god we've had downs. I've dealt with a major theft, Phoenix getting hit hard globally and a country (and indeed, eWorld) where numbers are dropping and we need to preserve every last player we get. I haven't done perfectly, and I'll be the first to admit I had a shaky start - I certainly wont be the last - but I am growing into the role of President as jamesw and as Woldy, with countless others, have done before.

I dont want to leave a job when I feel its only half done. I cant step out just as I am starting to build up. Thats why I intend to run for President of the eUK (November 2010).

I have experience in numerous areas, which begin to mould me into a well rounded and capable President of the eUK.

- President of the eUK (x1)
- Vice President of the eUK (x2)
- Minister of Foreign Affairs (x2)
- Minister of Legislative Affairs (x2)
- Congressman (x5)
- Party President of the Radical Freethinkers Alliance (x3)

Its a feeling that is shared amongst many people I have spoken to, that for a President to truly do their job, they can't have just one term. They cant make their mark in just one month, at least, that's what I believe.

Elect me once more as President and you will get my ideas and my activity, but you get that from a President who has experienced the knocks of office and is now ready to take the eUK full steam ahead into a period of uncertainty and hard work. I wont pull any punches. The likelihood is that we may well be at risk of invasion and that is something I had to come to terms with when I decided to run again, however to pull out now would be the cowards way out and I am not going to be the one that shirked responsibility. I am going to be the one that does his best to pull the eUK together in the face of adversity and fight, work and play as one.

I shall also continue, if elected, with Daniel Thorrold as my Vice-President. He has, on numerous occasions, counter-acted my often rash personality, and has brought me back down to Earth when we hit bumps. Give him another term in this position and he will be ready to take up the office of President, if he wished to, and lead the eUK with the vigour he is capable of as a former Vice-President, Minister of Home Affairs and Congressman to name but a few of his experiences in the eWorld.

eUK, I want more time as your President, so that I can be a part of a pivotal time in eUK history. Its up to you now, and I hope you decide that I and Thorrold are right for the task ahead.

I hope that your party considers me a worthy candidate for its support.
