[Garmr] Economical Changes

Day 1,268, 13:33 Published in Netherlands Poland by Garmr

Dear fellow citizens,

As you may or may not know, there are some incoming changes in the economical module. I will explain these changes and the effect it will have.

1. Dissolve organization
This information is only relevant to those who have one or more organizations. Soon, there will be a possibility to close your organization(s). You will receive all property on your citizen account, and a refund of five gold for the organization and two gold if you had a newspaper located on the organization.
When this is done, you are unable to log onto the organization from that moment.

I advise you to do so, as there is little point in keeping your organizations, although there are a few unimportant exceptions.

2. Company location
This information is only relevant to those who already have companies. Soon, there will be a change in the location of companies. You used to be able to have companies in country X while you had citizenship of country Y. Instead, all your companies will now be moved to the country of your citizenship. If you change citizenship, the companies will move with you.

This is a largely unimportant change, as most people only have companies within their own country. It is nice for people who had their companies stuck in another country.

3. New create building module
This information is only relevant to those who want to buy a company somewhere in the future. Soon, there will be a transformation in the buildings. Admin removed the quality levels of raw materials some time ago, bringing all grain/iron companies to level 1. They came back from that decision, but instead of just returning to the old formula, they decided on another method that could earn them more money. The new buildings will be the following:

Name: Grain Farm
Price: 150 NLG
Production: 15 raw materials for food production
Name: Fruit Orchard
Price: 450 NLG
Production: 30 raw materials for food production
Name: Fishery
Price: 10 gold
Production: 50 raw materials for food production
Name: Cattle Farm
Price: 4500 NLG
Production: 70 raw materials for food production
Name: Hunting Lodge
Price: 35 gold
Production: 100 raw materials for food production

Food companies will be renamed to 'Food Factories', and will function the same as they do now.

Name: Iron Mine
Price: 150 NLG
Production: 15 raw materials for weapon production
Name: Oil Rig
Price: 450 NLG
Production: 30 raw materials for weapon production
Name: Aluminium Mine
Price: 10 gold
Production: 50 raw materials for weapon production
Name: Saltpeter Mine
Price: 4500 NLG
Production: 70 raw materials for weapon production
Name: Rubber Plantation
Price: 35 gold
Production: 100 raw materials for weapon production

Weapon companies will be renamed to 'Weapons Factories', and will function the same as they do now.

There is also the possibility to extend your storage, ensuring you have enough space for all the raw and finished materials.
Name: Normal Storage
Price: 450 NLG
Storage capability adde😛 1000
Name: Big Storage
Price: 35 gold
Storage capability adde😛 9000

If you are a starting player, you should consider starting out with a Grain Farm as soon as you have 150 NLG. If you get more money, you can consider starting an added Fruit Orchard and when you have gained enough gold, start your own Food Factory. For experienced players, the Hunting Lodge and Rubber Plantations are a must. I expect Deer and Rubber will become the only regions that are worth fighting over. Fish and Aluminium are nice minor bonus regions as well. The big storage seems like a waste of money for most people, as a 2000 storage is more then sufficient for any self-producer.

4. Migrations
Grain in your storage will transfer to 'raw materials for food production'.
Iron in your storage will transfer to 'raw materials for iron production'.
Moving tickets, Houses, Defense Systems and Hospitals will remain the same.
Grain companies will transfer to 'Fishery'.
Iron, Stone and Oil companies will transfer to 'Aluminium Mine'.
Moving ticket, Housing, Defense system and Hospital buildings will transfer to Weapon Factories.
Additionally, Weapon Factories can be migrated into Food Factories and Aluminium Mines can be migrated into Fisheries.

This will probably make little difference in your life. Those who still have one of the companies that will be destroyed may now choose between food and weapon. For the others there is little change, only in names.

5. New change location system
If you do not have a moving ticket, you can now pay local currency to travel abroad. Q1 - 20 NLG, Q2 - 40 NLG, Q3 - 60 NLG, Q4 - 80 NLG, Q5 - 100 NLG.

This will become the new way of travelling, but if you are able, buy all moving tickets you see if they are priced under 20 NLG.

6. LP points became useful
Not part of the 'leaked' screenshot, I felt like including this anyway. There is a possibility to exchange real life money for gold. Doing this earns you 'Loyalty Points'. They can now be used to get Energy Bars, special food that gives you full health after consumption.

I'd say keep your LP where they are, as there are probably more possibilities on the way. Energy bars are nice extra's, but not worth getting if it costs you anything.

I tried describing everything in the easiest and most understandable way possible, but if you have any questions please ask them in the comments.

Sincere regards,
Garmr
