[eUK MoFA] On the Theft in eIreland

Day 2,369, 10:47 Published in United Kingdom North Macedonia by Foreign Office

Ohai eUK.

NB: I unreservedly apologise for any inaccuracies in this article.

Before I start, the coordination in the ATO manoeuvre we did yesterday was extraordinary. Congrats to everyone on this success! o7

This here article is a feature from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs covering the recent dramatic events in eIreland, our neighbouring country. While we’ve been embroiled in our own drama, last night eIreland was left reeling by a potential treasury theft and several erratic CP actions. While many know the conclusion of events already, this is an objective presentation meant to enlighten anyone confused by the sequence of those events – you absolutely should draw your own conclusions.

Preamble and Build-up
Yesterday, the eIrish CP, Daniel Plainview suddenly sacked his long established and respected Minister of Finance, AppleMan, and replaced him with another guy, Releasethe Krakken. The new MoF released this article, in which he claims that AppleMan was holding 2 million cc of government money which should be returned. It seems that this money had been transferred out of the government organisations at an earlier point in time (the CP would later claim they were transferred out at the start of his term) – in addition, much of the gold had been loaded on the monetary market.

On AppleMan’s side, he claims that he withdrew that money to secure its safety, owing to raging suspicions of many senior Irish citizens towards the CP – basically, that he once played with a former account (sawc) who had raided eIreland of its money as CP in the past. At this point in time, the situation was not clear, but Congress clearly saw enough to launch an impeachment law against the CP, which looks likely to pass, even though there were initially some reluctance from many eIrish citizens.

From the comments on this article, it’s clear that there was some form of audit on the eIrish finances, which involved the money AppleMan had as accounted for, and noticed irregularities. Basically, money vanished.

The Climax
This aside, upon proposal of the impeachment law, the Irish CP’s actions eventually became more and more erratic, which may have confirmed to some that he was responsible. He first proposed a law to leave Aurora alliance (an alliance currently friendly with Sirius) and published this article attempting to justify his actions (screenshot here in case of deletion). They contained some intriguing and certainly entertaining leaks from an Aurora HQ meeting, supposedly showing some form of disagreement, but that is not the focus of our article here.

Daniel Plainview also proposed a rogue welcome message which has been dealt with and removed by admin (sadly I did not take a screenshot). Some eIrish are using this troll proposal to work to get him banned.

In short, he went utter crazy – whether this is a meltdown, or an attempt to go out in a blaze of glory, is all subjective.

Consequences
Assuming it was the CP who took that money, the rapid actions of the old MoF likely saved eIreland from losing any more money. On the other hand, if he is indeed innocent and provoked by the impeachment law, stirring up trouble (which most will deem unlikely), then whoever it was got away with corruption, because frankly this cloud, not to be forgotten, will stay over Daniel Plainview’s head for a long, long time.

The general conclusion of the eIrish public is that Daniel Plainview was chiefly responsible for this whole drama, particularly when he published a very Chewie-esque article crediting ChewChewShoe and our very own Dental Corps (apparently Rfeist in particular) for giving him the idea. The impeachment law has just succeeded - this means the runner-up in the CP election, mirek12345, will be left to mop up the mess. A delightful task, wouldn’t you say?

As it is, the eUK sends its best wishes and support to eIreland in this difficult time, and hope that they pull through. o7

Thanks for reading!
