[eBe CP] Tournament and Chocolate Treaty

Dear citizens of eBelgium,

As you have seen, there is a tournament currently going on. With the help of Mr. Wonka we have discussed the possibility to organize a training war with a foreign country. However in the current circumstances, our only neighbours are too strong for us and it would cause us to lose our MPPs which would be really troublesome.

An Airstrike is not a possibility either as it would be too expensive to launch.

We are still looking for other possibilities but it is unlikely that a training war for eBelgium will be organized in the following days.



On a happier note, the Chocolate treaty with Switzerland has been renewed, as mentionned in this article. I hope that this will allow us to keep a strong relation with the friendly Swiss nation.

Article I: Preamble

Recognizing that diplomatic relations between both nations will prosper through mutual cooperation

Emphasizing that both nations will continue to pursue free and democratic systems of governance

Establishing that this treaty will link together both nations in regards to the following domains mentioned

Article II: Contents of the Treaty
1. Switzerland and Belgium will grant each other aid and mutual protection in the event that either of the countries are threatened by a Political Take-Over (PTO)
2. Switzerland and Belgium hereby create The Joint Investigation Committee; this committee will be the basis of cooperation and communication for the various means of immigration and national security by both States
3. The JIC will function as the main medium of communication between Switzerland and Belgium through the IRC channel, #JIChocolate
4. When under the threat of a PTO, both nations will aid and defend each other through various means

Article III: Joint Investigation Committee (JIC)
1. The Joint Investigation Committee will consist of the governments of Belgium and Switzerland, as well as an Immigration Officer.
2. For the purposes of organization and a hopeful increase of efficiency of JIC tasks, the JIC has the option of appointing one Committee Chairperson; through the means of the Country President.
3.. The JIC will investigate and share information about citizenship applications including, but not limited to why the application was approved or denied citizenship
4.. The JIC will function as the main source of communication between Belgium and Switzerland when under the threat of a PTO or when a potential PTO threat is underway
5. The JIC will improve probability and priority of Belgian Citizens applying for Switzerland citizenship and Swiss Citizens applying for Belgian Citizenship

Article IV: Conditions of Application
1. A referendum is the method of consulting either nation’s popular opinion
2. Other nations may join the present treaty; such nations must be examined by the nations that are already members of the treaty and gain approval from the respective Presidents
3. At any time, the nations involved in this treaty may request to change the treaty; full support of the amendment by the respective Presidents is required to change the treaty.
4. The present treaty is not retroactive and is only implemented once it has been approved by the representatives of both countries
5. The present treaty does not have limits in time nor space; either nation may withdraw from this treaty at any time after proper consultation of the respective citizens

Article V: Renewal
The Treaty shall be renewed each month after Country President elections on the 10th through approval from both governments and or congress.
