Good evening, America.

Before I begin, I'd like to take a minute to remind all of you how blessed we all truly are to be here. Tonight, the Poles are hiding in the midsts of Europe; the Serbians have been exiled to the Balkans where they are playing tug-of-war with their neighbors (again); and the Double-Spaniards are two states away from being removed from our side of the pond, sandwiched between the classy society of Portugal and their eternal adversaries of France. Even the illegal immigrants from Mexico are running for the ocean, their tails tucked between their legs as we drive them back to their southwestern coastlines. I'd call it a great day to be an American.

But enough with the pleasantries; there are more important matters of business to tend to, both revolving around our national Armed Forces.

Foremost, I'm asking every red-blooded American behind their keyboard right now that, if you have no prior commitments -- or if you do have prior commitments, but really don't care too much about them -- should join the United States Armed Forces:

With exception to those American do-gooders of another variety who join militia or paramilitary, there's really nothing more patriotic than joining the military and fighting on behalf of America and her allies against those would would invade us and our friends. Except maybe Mom's apple pie, but she has far too much on her plate as it is between her international business ventures and dealing with her dimwitted sons.

I digress; join the Army. Better yet, if you're a fantastically powerful goldbeast and you want a few more tanks to play with -- courtesy of Uncle Sam (the historical figure, not the player) -- you should join the Army Special Forces; or maybe you aren't a goldbeast but you do some pretty solid damage, apply anyway. Led by General Kell Draygo and his band of merry-but-meticulously-destructive men, the Special Forces feature some of America's strongest tanks leaping headlong into battles around the globe. If you're qualified and so-inclined, I'm sure these guys would love to have you on boar😛

Before I get to my final bit of news, I wanted to ask anyone reading this to join the eUSA national forums:




Everything of national importance happens on those forums; the Armed Forces boards are there, the congressional boards are there, the President and his cabinet do business there. There's places to run, play, frolic, and have good clean wholesome fun; just be careful, there's a handful of trolls too. But it's a pretty large community, and so long as you're of the intelligent type -- or at least smart enough not to say something dumb -- you'll be fine.



Now some personal news...

As of now, I am retiring my post as General of United States Army. At the beginning of this Presidential term, I was tapped to lead and organize this great new military. I agreed because I wanted to have a hand in personally designing the structure to ensure it was both a scalable structure and that it was able to handle requests from our President to hit targets here, there, and everywhere. When I was tasked with this, our Secretary of Defense was fully aware of the amount of time I would be able to dedicate to this due to my limited online schedule; so the discussion I had with him a week ago on this topic did not surprise him.

In the early growth stages, this new military needed two things from leadership: Credibility as a leader and organizational skills. Certainly, both have been covered in the first weeks of its existance; people recognize the Armed Forces as a contributory fighting force in battles both home and abroad, and I could not be more proud of this. With that, however, credibility is no longer a requirement; the reputation of the US Armed Forces now stands on its own. The structure is there, the people are there, now it needs someone more active than I can be who can watch its progression as administrator.

With the blessing of our Secretary of Defense, the next General of the United States Army will be deerslayer77. For anyone who has not seen his work and know he is capable of leadership, before this announcement he was my Lt. General and second-in-command. Prior to his position with the Armed Forces, he was the executive officer for the US Airborne of the JCS-led Paramilitary and was the director for the JCS-operated Office of Strategic Services, the multi-hunting group previously known as Project CARE.

Additionally, you should be aware that before I was asked to lead this new military, I initially had plans to consider creating a new militia; I had the companies to do so at the time, so I would have only be limited by however many people I could invite to join me. Having just left the military himself, I had discussed with him the idea of joining me in creating the next great militia... so you should know I have great faith in his ability to lead this military into the future.



As for me, I think I'm going to rest easy in retirement. Well... at least for a couple of days. It's not as though I'll be leaving you all anytime soon. If anything, hopefully, this changing of the guard will free up what few hours I do have for you folks to do something else of value; or just spend those few hours talking more. Dio knows full well I lurk too much as it is.
