It’s been a mostly quiet couple of days, though there are a few things I need to bring to your attention today.
As I said last time, I’m going to steal somebody else’s style for these announcements, simply because I’ve always thought it’s the most simple and easy to understand; so thanks to Addy Lawrence for this!
ON THE NHS
Did you know, oh young players, that you can receive free health every day, courtesy of the NHS? Simply send a private message to Blue and Evil and he’ll sign you up! If you want more info on it and how it works, he’s your port of call.

ON CABINET…
There has been one addition to cabinet since my last article. Richard Feist has expressed an interest in joining cabinet in the future; of seeking to improve the UK, whoever is elected to government. We had a productive conversation about his strengths and what he was interested in doing, and from that decided he would be added to cabinet, mentored, and given every opportunity to contribute for the remainder of my term.
Richard’s first responsibility while in cabinet will be the creation of a focus group. (See below.)
The MoD would like me to thank ALL UK CITIZENS that attended Wednesday’s strike, and I can confirm that more of these will be happening soon. MU leaders, make sure you’re informing your troops when these are so they can come and receive the free weapons, and partake of our great military community!
I’m also pleased to announce that Emergy Maxfell has graciously donated some Q6 weapons to us for use in ‘A Call to Arms,’ so make sure you follow the instructions on the MoD article to claim your free weapons!
ON THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH
Ayame has got the ministry up and running nicely and pledges are coming in! Please contact him for more information. If you’re a new player that needs some financial help, or an old player looking to make a difference, this is one for you!
ON THE MoE CENSUS
As I said before, the MoE has started a little census to see who is active in the UK, and at what division / strength etc they’re at. They’ll be using this to help shape our understanding of our capabilities and to target some PMing, guides and schemes to those that need it most.
Beta has been hard at work with this and should have the results article out this weekend!
ON USING ORGANISATIONS TO MAKE MONEY
Carlini8 has informed me that our organisations are continuing to make us money on the MM, at a rate comparable to tax income just now- so in effect we’ve doubled our income for now. As more capital becomes available week on week, this number will increase more. We don’t yet know what the limits are, so this is still a very exciting aspect of government work.
ON POLITICS, THE POLITICAL FOCUS GROUP, AND THE MILITARY UNIT FOCUS GROUP
As I mentioned above, Richard Feist has been given the task of assembling two focus groups- a politics one involving members from all political parties and walks of life, and a military unit one to discuss military matters. He will personally lead the political one, and we’re in the process of asking our preferred person to lead the military one.
The purpose of these groups is simple- to seek out individuals from all backgrounds that are genuinely interested in seeking the best for the UK, being constructive, and finding solutions, as opposed to resorting to attacks, to sit them down in a PM thread, and attempt to seek solutions to the political and military issues that we face as a nation.
This will hopefully help in two ways; first, in seeking the actual solutions. Second; by simply bringing all parties / MUs to the table and seeking consensus. As the old maxim goes, divided we fall; united we stand.
ON WAR
Nobody has complained about a lack of war yet, but to pre-empt anything along those lines, I’d like to inform you all that we have two options for training wars on the table. Neither of which will go ahead until after the congress elections on the 25th, in order to provide the least amount of disruption possible to all parties in both countries that will be involved. After this point, we’ll decide on one option for the TW (congress will in fact be informed of the choices beforehand so they can exercise their democratic right and choose which one to pursue.)
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know this has been considered and plans are in place to let us have some fun.

Out of interest, how do you know Talon didn't make profits from orgs?

I hope that your focus group will work but I'm concerned that you'll just pick a group of happy forum types who will slap each other on the back and say how good everyone is again 🙁
Unfortunately Goku you can't take credit- these were things I did last time I was CP too, when you'd run away with my money. Thanks for your interest though.
Also on the focus groups, I'm not picking people at all, Richard Feist is. I trust him to make the right choices.

@Alpha what a shame you don't use the intelligence you clearly have (having read your brilliant recent article) to add value to eUK instead of flaming everyone apart from your clique.
well, I tried to be ambassador but kravenn didn't pay me much attention (and no, he has no right to deny such an aim) . I proposed lot of things , and some of them were done, like the drop in the taxes, ( and it'd be better with lower import taxes, but some blackmarketeers don't want this , do they?).
And I've tried a couple of times to reach Congresss. Perhaps, some day I'll be MoFA, if New Era wins, that's my only wish now. I'm not going even to run for Congress, I think it's better for NE.
As MoFA Kravenn is free to choose as he pleases with regards to who assists him in FA duties....
Alpha maybe take on the ambassador role unofficially in some countries where we don't have much of an active present yet and start building some bridges there if foreign affairs is your thing?
I think I've read in other articles you have great language skills which is more than can be said for many people in eUK so speak to other countries, see what they possible have to offer and report back your findings.
Perhaps this would be a good way of proving you are keen and able...
And would be a good grounding for a future official ambassador or even MOFA role?
jordee14, as a matter of fact, I thought the same, currently I'm going for eSpain contacts, translating, contacting with some top officials, doing interviews.
