Good Afternoon eCanada,
Asgard Referendum
Please check your mailboxes for the Referendum PM containing the link for our referendum about our future in Asgard. I used egov as a list of players that I mailed to, if for some reason you did not get a PM or are not listed on egov PM me immediately! Please fill it out as promptly as possible!
The last moment to fill it out is Day 2101, 23:59 erep time. Votes will be counted on Day 2102. If you any personal comments you would like to make, please do so in a PM to me.
Spain
Our first meeting went terribly and nothing was done, so I took it upon myself to have several private meetings with their CP, BullofWar. I am extremely happy to say a deal was reached! Spain has already accepted ( we just need their congress to as well), so I just have to give the word. I will be accepting the deal for the betterment of eCanada, unless all of you say no. The naysayers can impeach me when we get congress this month!
Here is the deal:
i.) Spain returns 10 regions to Canada for 150k CC (15k per region, payed over 2-3 months)
ii) Spain rents NFLD, NB and PEI for 0 rent (to be discussed again at a later date)
iii.) Canada will not fight in the three regions above and will help Spain retain them
iv) A NAP is signed between Canada and Spain.
I see no flaws, and to be honest, without us paying, we would never have gotten regions back. Let me know your thoughts eCanada!
Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone for their work for the past eight months. These were hard times, but I am glad we stuck through it, our spirit never dies!
I'd also like to thank Oblige, CP of the USA for his help, as well as many other individuals around the world!

Unless they go out of their way to air strike you (unlikely) there will be no borders with a TWO nation.
If and when all US states are secured I suppose. Even then, no TWO nation is required to honour this NAP, right? Just kicking the tires here.

While there is always a chance that another TWO nation will move in, I think that at this point we have to take that chance. I also think that they're overstretched at this point anyways. Time to change the game.

I'm happy to have helped eCanada work on this historic NAP.
Having a Congress and having regions will help improve the eCan situation diplomatically, militarily, and financially.
This agreement will bring security and stability and give eCan a brighter future.

This is a good deal and I think that we need to take it at this point. It's time to regroup and put this war behind us. Spain has clearly won and as things stand today there's no way we can take them on in the long run on the battlefield. A political deal is our only option.
But who knows? Maybe after this Asgard referendum we'll have another shake-up. This could be the perfect timing to make two big moves.
I agree. We've stood pround for a long time and thrown up every trick this little engine could. Positive thinking just isn't going to get us up this hill.

This is the deal Oinyo first proposed, minus the paying them money. Distinct lack of pitch forks in the response this time though. Something I will just chuckle too myself with.

I think we have had at least 3 deals that never got past Spain's congress. The money bought us the votes Spain's administration needed to get it past for once.
Spain did not accept that deal. This is the first one they accepted.
It was moore the lacking of shrinking and gnashing of teeth I foound amusing. A large grooup swoore they woould RW the regioons rented too Spain. That is nooticeably lacking here. But yes, in the end the deal fell throough as Spain coongress vooted it doown.
Coongress must have very high laundry bills.
