[CP] Norway & MPPs [DE|EN]

Sehr geehrte Bürger Germarks,

nachdem wir uns zuletzt verstärkt um MPPs mit den Mitgliedern der Allianz Circle of Trust bemüht haben, wurden unsere Anstrengungen in den letzten Tagen belohnt. Es wurden MPPs mit Mexico, Litauen und Chile abgeschlossen, die Beziehungen zu CoT somit weiter verbessert. In naher Zukunft wird damit ein Allianz-Beitritt immer wahrscheinlicher.

Militärisch gesehen ist in eDeutschland derzeit nicht viel los, ich hatte mir deshalb Gedanken über einen möglichen Krieg bzw. Trainingskrieg gemacht. In unserer Lage kommt eigentlich nur Norwegen in Frage, gegen Polen dürfen wir auf Grund des Vertrages nicht kämpfen (es würde zudem wenig Sinn machen), mit Russland und Litauen sind wir verbündet und Großbritannien ist Mitglied der mit CoT-befreundeten Allianz TWO. Bleibt also nur noch Norwegen, das Land hat derzeit nur 3 MPPs (Kroatien, Schweden, Finnland), das würde einem Natural-Enemy-Antrag also auch nicht im Wege stehen. So legte ich dem norwegischen Präsidenten ein Angebot zwecks eines Trainwars vor, welches er leider ablehnte, er begründete dies damit, dass Norwegen seinen Asgard-Freunden Schweden und Finnland helfen muss, welche sich im erbitterten Krieg mit der ehemaligen ABC-Allianz (Litauen, Estland, Lettland) befinden.

Nun habe ich unserem Kongress vor 2 Tagen die Frage gestellt, ob es Interesse an einem richtigen Krieg gegen Norwegen gibt. Der Poll ist heute ausgelaufen, 27 der 40 Abgeordneten haben abgestimmt, 11 waren dafür, 11 dagegen und 5 haben sich enthalten. Zunächst einmal finde ich es schade, dass sich bei solch einem wichtigen Thema nicht alle Mitglieder des Bundestages beteiligen, da hätte ich mir mehr Aktivität gewünscht. Desweiteren kann ich allerdings auch verstehen, wenn man einen Krieg gegen Norwegen ablehnt. Zu Norwegen hatten wir immer neutrale Beziehungen, eigentlich gibt es keinen Grund für einen Angriff. Allerdings ist eRepublik auch ein Kriegsspiel und wenn man eine solche Möglichkeit hat, einmal einen Krieg zu führen, dann denke ich schon, dass man diese Option ernsthaft in Betracht ziehen sollte, sicherlich hätten wir wohl gute Chancen gehabt und es wäre eine willkommene Abwechslung für viele Bürger gewesen. Eine Entscheidung ist jedoch getroffen und die muss man akzeptieren. Man sollte aber auch überdenken, dass sich in naher Zukunft die Anzahl der Optionen zur Kriegsführung nicht unbedingt vergrößern wird.

Abschließend noch eine Info zu der geplanten Neuaufsetzung des Vertrages zwischen eDänemark und eDeutschland, in dem vor allem die Kostenbeteilung konkretisiert werden soll: Ein Gespräch wird nächste Woche stattfinden, eine schnelle Einigung wäre sicherlich förderlich.

Dear citizens of Germark,

after we have recently renewed our efforts to get MPPs with the members of the Alliance Circle of Trust, our efforts were rewarded in the last days. MPPs were concluded with Mexico, Lithuania and Chile, our relations with CoT thus further improved. An Alliance membership is becoming more likely in the near future.

From a military view, eGermany is currently not busy, that is why I thought about a war or atleast a train war. In our situation only Norway is an option, we can not fight against Poland on the basis of the contract (it would also make little sense), with Russia and Lithuania, we are allies and the United Kingdom is a member of the TWO-Alliance, a friend of CoT. So only Norway remains, the country has currently 3 MPPs (Croatia, Sweden, Finland), a Natural Enemy application would not destroy our MPPs. A few days ago I asked the Norwegian President about a train war, which he refused unfortunately, he justified this by saying that Norway wants to help his Asgard-Friends Sweden and Finland against the former ABC-Alliance. 2 days ago, I asked our Congress the question whether there is interest in a real war against Norway. The poll has expired today, 27 of the 40 congress members voted on that issue, 11 were in favor, 11 against and 5 abstained. First of all, I find it unfortunate that at such an important issue 13 of the members of the Bundestag did not participate at all, since I would have liked to see more activity. Furthermore, I can also understand, if one rejects a war against Norway. To Norway we always had neutral relations, actually there is no reason for an attack. However, eRepublik is a war game and when you have such an opportunity to have a war, then I think that one should consider this option seriously, certainly we would have had a good chance and it would be a welcome change for many Citizens in that boring times. Well, a decision is made and we all have to accept it. On the other side, we should also consider that in the near future the number of options for a possible war will probably not increase.

In closing, an Info about the redrawing of the contract between eDenmark and eGermany: A meeting will take place next week, a quick settlement would certainly be the best thing for our Union.
