[Canadian Prosperity] What We Stand For!

Day 2,171, 20:05 Published in Canada Canada by DMV3

We're a fiscally conservative party that believes eCanada's future growth will come from immigration instead of growth from outside the game. While this is a major differentiation in policy our goal is to lay out where we stand on all possible issues in hopes of creating political parties that actually stand for something instead of being purely social constructs in eCanada.

The Argument for the 1% tax rate and open immigration

CoT has no nation with 100/100 bonus, but with many TWO nations having high bonuses a 1% tax becomes a great equalizer for eCanada when it comes to attracting new citizens. As a nation who currently only offers 60/40 to prospective new citizens a 1% tax does not make up for income lost to a company by not having full bonuses, but what it does is show that eCanada is supportive of business and MUs in a way other nations are not.

This will attract more citizens, more revenue, more damage, and possibly more products to our market. More citizens means we have the ability to build a thriving social game that encourages our younger players to get involved in our nation more. Adding more citizens also raises our revenue by increasing our tax base, long-term this adds much more to our economy than revenue from tax increases ever will. By adding citizens through immigration we also increase our damage which with enough growth could give us the ability to add bonuses and help us hold them. The finally benefit of this policy is that it should bring more products to our market and bring down prices that will increase damage by allowing people to buy more high quality weapons.

Open Immigration, but smart Immigration

Open immigration should not mean irresponsible immigration, but with our lack of a real vetting process that is what we are currently risking every time we approve a citizen based solely on a name on a page and the information contained in their profile. What eCanada must do if we wish to continue growth through immigration is to require all applicants to fill out an application making their case for being allowed into the country. We should ask potential immigrants questions that allow us to weigh their immigration based on what they have to offer eCanada long-term. We need to ask the following questions:

Why are you coming to eCanada?
Who can vouch for you?
How many companies do you have?
How long do you plan on staying in eCanada?
Are you looking to get involved in our community?
Are you looking to get involved in eCanadian politics?
Have you been a member of the eCanadian community in the past?

These questions are a good baseline for obtaining information that will allow Congressmen to make an educated decision before approving citizenship requests and it will allow us to prioritize citizenship requests should we receive more requests than we have passes. Immigration should still be left up to individual congressmen, but by tracking immigration it gives the executive the ability to contact Congressmen who still have passes should the need for approvals arise.

Another idea for growth is to focus recruitment on CoT and CoT aligned nations that are without territories. This will help provide us new citizens, but it will also help our allies by providing more production to their community and increasing our revenue at the same time.

Stable and Reliable Foreign Policy

Joining CoT gives eCanada the ability to have stable relationships with a large group of nations all fighting together for the benefit of the group, but this is not enough to ensure eCanada has friends and allies when we’re most in need of their support. We must focus on building strong relationships with not only the leadership of friendly nations, but also with their people. There are nations we have had a history of good relations with and we should focus on bringing those relationships closer. France and the eUS are two nations that eCanada has had a long history with and we should focus on building those relationships into true friendships between our governments and our people.

We also believe that war should not be taken lightly the cost in resources, money, and the potential costs to the community must outweigh one’s desire to declare war for the sake of having a war.

Private Charity is greater than Public Welfare

Private Charity gives the people involved a greater stake in their nation and the desire to have closer relationships with those they interact with. Charity give people a chance to feel that their participation and hard work benefit the greater community instead of relying on the government to take care of others. On top of giving new players tanks and food, we must more importantly focus on giving them an education and a purpose for playing this game.

Role Play isn’t just for the bedroom

Roleplay, while not for everyone is a great way to get the community involved and keep them engaged. Entertainment is ultimately the reason we all play this game, and while drama does not make for government some drama and role play are essential to making a community more interesting and increasing the experience for everyone involved in the community.

Education and New Player Retention

New players are the lifeblood of any nation. The government’s responsibility is to educate our new players on how best to develop to ensure a stronger Canada in the future. New player retention on the other hand is best left in the hands of our Military Units and Parties. As much as an active player base is vital to our nation it is the only thing that keeps MUs and Parties relevant. Canadian Prosperity believes that we should give our military units and parties educated players, butt in the end whether or not a play stays is dependent on the group of players they most closely associate with.
