It is with great pleasure today that I officially announce my run for the Party Presidency of the Canadian Progressive Front . After serving three months as PP a few months ago, I now desire one more term with a clear agenda moving forward to invigorate and bring the CPF to even more greatness!

When I was first elected PP, I had no clear written plan on how to proceed, but I now after having some time to myself to think of the future and the party, have a clear view of what I would like to accomplish and what I think I can bring to the table as the Party President of the CPF.

Congress

Previously, I had difficulty balancing how to best hand out Congress slots, but if elected again, I will choose candidates based solely on whether or not I believe they will actively uphold our seven tenets and contribute to Congressional discussion and debate, no matter how little or much experience said person may have.

I will also provide our Congressmen with a bit more guidance and I plan on having a Congressional Whip for our caucus.

Primary Systems

I must thank Randall Flagg for continuing the Primary system, but I think it is time for me to hammer in some set dates to remove any lingering confusion that may exist about it. Therefore, if elected, I will stick to these rules concerning our Primaries:

Party President:

-Interest must be expressed to the sitting Party President by the 10th through newspaper article or postings in other CPF media
-Primary on the 10th-11th
-Losers of the Primary must drop out by the 13th
-Winner of the Primary must be declared a candidate in-game by at least the 12th
-If no candidate wins a majority of the vote, a runoff vote will occur between the top two candidates

Country President:

-Interest must be expressed to the Party President or publicly in the form of a newspaper article or other means by the 29th for members, the 30th for nonmembers
-Primary held on the 29th to determine whether or not the CPF will endorse one of its own or another candidate
-Full Primary held on the 30th if we vote for another party’s candidate in the prior primary
-Primary Winner becomes official nominee.
-Like the Party President elections, a second runoff vote will occur if no candidate secures a majority
-Voting to not endorse any candidate and to have a free vote will be an option

Recruitment Efforts

To my knowledge, no formal recruitment drive has been in place since Funky Hum24n's party presidency. I intend to bring it back into place, considering some recent developments. My VP and (hopefully) others will get to work on recruitment.

The Cabinet

Speaking of VPs, I intend on bring back the cabinet system I had in place during my last two terms as PP, with a full stocked and qualified group of individuals.

Vice Party President: Michael 23

Michael 23 has proven to be very successful time in and time out and is a rising (if not already risen!) star in the CPF. I couldn't be happier to have him as my VP.

Media Leader: Funky Hum24n

We all know the enigmatic Funky Hum24n, the CPF's godfather, and I think I will leave that as reason enough to include Funky in all of this.

2nd Vice Party President: stpolar

For those that don't know, the 2nd VP position will be a monthly rotated position used to assist and encourage newer players in the CPF who want to get more involved with the party and politics. stpolar has just recently become active with the CPF and I feel this will be a great position to fully utilize his enthusiasm.

CPF Party Councillors: Randall Flagg 1999, klop123, Wilhelm Gunter, Bryan Alexander, Yano Chichelin

All are highly talented individuals who will assist me and lend their voices in advice throughout the term, and I look forward to getting to work.

Cross Party Relations

I am more than willing to work with any other party on any issue so long as we have a common goal that is acceptive to the CPF. I would like to nurture friendship with any party that is receptive to us and whose friendship I think would be beneficial and that may reflect on some part of our tenets.

The Tenets

1. Uphold the equality of all active Military Units
2. Make the accounting of government funding more open and important
3. Ensure Canada is a reliable and selfless ally
4. To respect, recognize and uphold the supremacy of the mechanics of the game
5. Develop a positive political sphere
6. Bring in Canadians to eRepublik
7. To encourage growth and stability to the eCanadian economy

All this talking about tenets, but it seems that our tenets could still use work or improvement, and possibility the addition of new ones. I will be willing to take suggestions from party members about the tenets and evaluate them with the whole party. I will also try and come up with improvements to suggest before the party.

Party Communication

I believe the current Moose Call system should remain in place, but I want to refresh them with new Moose Calls halfway throughout the term to add in newcomers to the Call and refresh party communication. We should do our best to greet and involve new members in the CPF.

Conclusion

If the voters in the CPF would honor me with the chance to serve another term as their Party President, I promise that I will not fail them and work to the best of my capability to ensure a successful month for the CPF and all of eCanada. Thank you for the time and please vote Auk Rest for CPF PP!

Cheers,
