CPF Man UP

Day 1,873, 04:01 by Rylde

I won your Primary CPF

Your PP Randall admitted I won.

Rather than follow CPFs voting wishes its a free vote because your leader doesn't like me.

You pride yourselves on voting but some piece of shit says he overrides you because ya know what he knows better.

I see that Randall Has gone agaiant his parties line and wishes. Until he resigns his positions of PP of CPF and agrees not to run for for the position ever again.

Randalls your dictator and when he says its a free vote u all line up like bacon.

Until the time that RANDALL SHOOTS HIMSELF in the foot and agree's to the terms . I promise to do nothing.

Acacia pls don't throw yourself in with this swine cause its not the CPFu knew

CPF can't follow the rules of your own party randall.

I love the fact Wilhelm gunter talked u up when I named u VP and 3 days later he had to eat his words.

Anyone of my ministers who accepts a position from my opposition is instantly fired

Hey Funky, welcome back. You're missed.

And Rylde's drunk.

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Day 1,873, 07:08

Basically Drunk Rylde says: Randall Flagg, Zappie, Shoi12, Bryan Alexander, you're all fired.

Future Rylde will rehire: Zappie, Shoi12, and Bryan Alexander; and he will say something like "go f*** yourself" to Randall.

Jaffle
Jaffle Day 1,873, 07:27

This response suggests one of two things:

1. Your offer of the VP slot was conditional upon the CPF's support; or

2. You offered the VP slot to someone you really don't know very well, you change your mind very easily. and you lash out in anger when things don't your way.

Either way, withholding the party's support and allowing an open vote was the way to go. If candidate goes off the rails between a primary and an election, then a party president is right to pull them from the roster.

Crock Crosby
Crock Crosby Day 1,873, 07:27

Randall has stated he has no plans for another term as CPF PP.
If these accusations are true, then on behalf of the CPF I must apologize to u Rylde.
However, your bid for CP a lock. This I am certain of.

George Beeman
George Beeman Day 1,873, 08:00

I believe Randall had said that it was due to the incredibly low voter turnout (I think it was 21) in the primary.

However:
''Randall has stated he has no plans for another term as CPF PP.
If these accusations are true, then on behalf of the CPF I must apologize to u Rylde.
However, your bid for CP a lock. This I am certain of.''

screamingslave Day 1,873, 08:30

if only this worked in real Canada and we could just say "sorry Stephen Harper due to low voter turnout you cant be PM of Canada"

Jaffle: its all too often in this game that all the major candidates all have the same (or very similar) cabinets etc and usually run as each others VP. which is their way of saying "it doesn't matter who you pick to get 5 gold and a medal the same group of people will still be calling the shots"

Its total BS and i always respect and vote for candidates that run a unique cabinet over the incestuous ones.

On behalf of the CPF I apologize, we had no excuse not to nominate you since you won the primary

Plugson
Plugson Day 1,873, 08:50

Was the primary done on the CPF forum?

If so, that's where the problem begins.

Go back to the Moose Calls, dudes. That's where the game is at, even if it takes more work (as it should)

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Day 1,873, 09:06

@Plugson: I don't know about that. The extra work per member (to inconveniently go on forums) show who's committed to the party to do that extra step. If they really want it, it's there for them to get it. If they want to eat the good stuff and know how to do it, there's no need to spoon-feed it to them.

If your voice isn't raised, no one's gonna hear it. Even if it's worth listening to.

Wilhelm Gunter
Wilhelm Gunter Day 1,873, 09:19

The primary was done via a link, I think the link was to google docs. The link was sent out through the Moose Calls.

Randall Flagg 1999
Randall Flagg 1999 Day 1,873, 09:30

Everyone calm your tits. Low voter turn out plus some of the few who voted Rylde expressed they did so with much apprehension about the other candidates lead to the conclusion that the CPF will remain neutral in selecting a candidate.

And for future reference, the CPF primary does not bind the PP to any particular course of action, but rather gives an idea of where the party is. And in this case, the party showed me that it was indifferent in this election.

For comparison, our last CP primary had just over 50 responses, a better indication than 21.

Plugson
Plugson Day 1,873, 09:33

hmm, oh well, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him vote. Whether a primary is done by PM, googledoc, or forum, what matters most is that people feel engaged by the party leaders and interested in what they offer. Doesn't matter if it's done for fun or for serious policy, people feeling motivated to participate will give their opinion (or simple click).

...but you'd think that directly PMing the primary to the party membership would help get more votes.

Yah that's unfortunate that more folks didn't vote in the party.

TheSmoke
TheSmoke Day 1,873, 10:30

If we had stated that the CPF supported Rylde then great, doesn't mean that every member will vote for you at the polls, people can vote for whoever they want and nobody will know the difference.

What this comes down to is Rylde complaining about a party not following proper legal or moral procedure, however, being the character that you are you could care less. Rather it is an opportunity for you to publicly lash out, during an election you have already won.

It doesn't matter what it says in party page, who will party support for CP elections. people will vote for who they want to vote. If I want to vote for candidate A and other memebers want to vote for candidate B, so obviously B is offical candidate that my party supports, I'm still going to vote for candidate A.

Rylde you are only harming yourself by attacking others. I really don't understand what is wrong with you guys in MDP and your barbarian trashing in the blank.

Michael 23
Michael 23 Day 1,873, 12:47

There was lack support of the CPF for Rylde and that was the bottom line. The CPF didn't want to vote for Rylde. Just because there was a lack of options does not make him an official winner. It would've been nicer if the primary had a "No Vote for Any Candidate". However, this still doesn't change the bottom line. The CPF didn't want to vote for Rylde and Randall chose not to support him.

It's rather unfortunate that Randall won't be running for PP again as he's done a great job these past two terms. Either way, whether he ran again or not we would do the primary differently with more options to make sure that people had the option not to support the candidate which they only did indirectly this time by not voting at all.

I mean 21 people voting out of 139, seriously, and on top of that the ones that voted expressed their apprehension about voting and about having a lack of choices.

Rolo Tahmasee
Rolo Tahmasee Day 1,873, 13:19

Mochan, wake up

Take a look at Clan Loser for a Prime Example - Chewy apparently won their Primary, but wasn't nominated in game, yet Claursu, who wasn't even a candidate period, has 61 votes to this point - More than than then actual Primary winner Chewy - What does that tell you about Party nominations?

Idiots in this game vote for the big dumb logo - Proven time and again

Flaggs a loser and CPF is the new EPIC

Venoms III

Rylde fired the cabinet he ran on? People voted for him based on his cabinet choices, in both party primaries and in this election. Your the one that owes the apology Rylde. I demand you resign. as CP and never run for the position again.

Clausru
Clausru Day 1,873, 15:27

Guys, I saw a lot discussions and also comment of vote.
Well I decide to partecipate to CP because no one was candidate as CP in Clan Wolf. So I told if isn't other candidate, I can do because CW is an important party of eCanada and without a candidate is ridicolous when old CP was from this party!!! Well this was good decision because was a interesting challange between me and other candidates and this is spirit of game! I'm very happy of result till now because without promotion, articles, cabinet team or other stuff... I'm getting good votes on first time. In politic no always citizens vote reading forums or chat and this is part interesting of election! They like vote sympatic guys as me:D If I got 65 votes till now in these conditions, I think that I can be happy of results. I didn't prepare my cabinet because primary didn't choose me. So because I must lose my time to do the work that isn't the need?! On next time, will be good team to run on elections From mistakes you can learn!

Rolo, when I was in your party... I was ultimate citizen and I was nobody and when I told that I could give my effort on party well I was on end of list! So I changed party and I join to Clan Wolf because I like ideals of this party and there was sympatic team. I'm citizen very active in game. Now I'm congressman and second in election day of CP also if I didn't win in primary. So I thank to PP that give me the possibility to be involved in politic attivity. Also I'm the first time as candidate as you tell, so you think on this! Maybe I can give some in e Canada and I'm more of nobody.

However only 19 votes in primary is really little to decide the right candidate when I had only -1 vote respect Chewy. Rylde is first now and he was on ultimate position in primary. If primary are so, I don't know if really is the need to do...

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Day 1,873, 15:33

@Michael: The lack of support for Rylde is a subset of the lack of support for any CP candidate as seen from the primary numbers.

@Klop: This might be a far-fetched correlation, but I'm seeing a lack of involvement from CPF. No one from CPF wants to run for CP (whether running against Rylde is an incentive to run or not), and there was a clear lack of participation for the primary vote. So, what's going on with CPF?

@ED: Chewy's cabinet choices include Rylde's cabinet choices, excluding VP. Unless the VP and MoE are significant factors in cabinet "ratings", what you're saying is that Rylde's picks of cabinet members for his term are better than Foxfire's current cabinet and Chewytaz's cabinet.

Anyway, I believe Rylde's sleeping atm, recovering from his drunkenness. You have no idea how drunk he got.

Muglack
Muglack Day 1,873, 18:03

"It would've been nicer if the primary had a "No Vote for Any Candidate". "

There was the option. It was called not voting. A majority of your party did it. But of the people who had an opinion Rylde got the most support.

The same thing happened in the days of the "Crimson Order Party". Our first election we supported Addy because he was "the best choice" of the people on the ballot. By the time the next election rolled around an official "Don't support anyone" option was available. Maybe next time you'll do what's right and support the person that wins, and then fix it so that the party's view is better represented next time.

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Day 1,873, 18:25

@Ardikus: At one point, he sent me all of his 200k+ CAD. You have NO idea how drunk Rylde was. Don't get me started on the things he said.

@ED: It's Rylde. Can you say that this article wasn't expected?

Good advise Muglack.

klop123
klop123 Day 1,873, 19:28

You're correct Mary... the CPF has a large number of two clickers. This combined with the fact that the party members either supported Rylde or had mixed feelings about the CP elections showed up on our primary where Rylde was the only real option for CP... that meant people either participated and supported Rylde or did not even do the primary, leading to a poor turnout. Conflicting ideas have led the CPF down a disappointing month.

Crock Crosby
Crock Crosby Day 1,873, 19:37

A major reason that CPF did not have a CPFer on our primary likely has to do with the high work load of being CP. What is the point of running for office if you can't give the job the time and effort it deserves. Running a candidate just for the sake of it is not in eCanada's best interest, and is a selfish act.

I find that the CP position has little to do with party politics. The CP these days is a "commander in chief" position. When it comes to passing legislation and tax rates the CP has the same power as every congress member, a single vote.

Perhaps in February one of members with the proper experience will have the time required to be an effective president. Until then, the CPF will continue contributing to the growth and prosperity of eCanada through our work in Congress.

Better call the WAAAAHHmbulance, Rylde needs a drive home.

It's a free vote, party members can vote for whoever they want, that's what an election is. Just cause the party itself doesn't support you, so what? if it's members want you as CP, they'll vote for you. Be thankful he didn't put party support behind your opponent. Stop crying already and disappear now BEFORE you get CP instead of during your term.

I remember all that big talk out of you about previous CPs and you were so much better than that. How'd you end Rylde?

Acacia Mason
Acacia Mason Day 1,873, 22:53

One person made a mistake in the party and that person is the PP. Many of us in the CPF have or will be voting for you this morning. What Randall did is not unilaterally supported by the party. You really can't judge the whole group on he actions of one person.

Randall is not running again and I am sure the next CP will draft some party policy that negates this sort of action. It's a learning opportunity and it would be best to judge the party based on how we respond to this event.

As for the "Swine", I happen to think the world of the likes of Exalted Druid and Wilhelm Gunter. I have known them since my first days in the CPF under the guidance of TFD. I like them, they're friends, and I came back to the CPF because of them, Klop, Funky, and a host of others I have much respect for. The party has a good core of people...they will fix this...of that I am certain.

Good luck this month Rylde.

P.S. I voted for you!

Plugson
Plugson Day 1,873, 22:57

CPF doesn't have strictly set procedures on how to run a primary. It goes by common sense. I'm not convinced it was a mistake, rather an 'executive decision' that is likely to cause controversy. Endorsing someone on a lame-o primary is equivalent to not endorsing someone on a lame-o primary ~ the primary, in both cases, is/was lame and had results unbefitting a Top 5, let alone 1st Place, party.

Besides, Randall sent me 20 CAD last night (all the money he has, actually, the poor bastard) so I'm quite certain he was stink-o drunk and all his actions are, therefore, quite excusable.
