[AL4CP] Vote for Vision, Passion and Purpose in eCan (Day 2145)

Day 2,145, 13:17 Published in Canada Canada by Addy Lawrence

THE MANDATE I SEEK

On October 5th, I will be seeking your support to build an eCanada of vision, passion, and purpose.

STATE OF THE CAMPAIGN

Opening Remarks

Tomorrow you will elect the next CP of eCanada. You will have five choices. DMV3 of Canadian Reform Party, CdnBacon of Bacon Party, Internet Republik of United Canada, Dr .Manhattan of Shenanigans Party, and myself, Addy Lawrence, a blue-blooded CPF'er running under MDP's banner with the support of CW, PFC and IPC as well.

I don't mean to brag, but I do not recall a time when an eCan CP candidate earned the support of all top five parties. I have achieved this and the reason I bring it up is because I think its a sign that the partisan demographic out there has moved on. The partisan fueding that has been going on between CPF and the coaltion is doing more harm than good. It is time to put the partisan stuff aside, and focus on the issues.

Please consider my plan of vision, passion and purpose.

On the vision of the CoT Alliance...

We have a trial membership in CoT to focus on. My goal is to facilitate as much participation of the eCan population in the affirmation of this decision and to be as transparent as possible about what is learned as we move through the trial period. This is my vision for eCanada and CoT, being actively involved in a relevant alliance.

On the passion of tax reform...

eCan has a tax regime that hand-cuffs our nation's ability to sign MPPs and fund Combat Orders. We can afford only five MPP's under our current tax holiday. This is only the minimum expectation of our allies in CoT as five member countries of CoT are at war and need our support. There is no room for additional MPPs nor social programs like MU Funding, Combat Order funding, or food programs. The tax regime will be reviewed, in fact it is in review now. I will be ensuring that a budget is proposed on a timely basis if I am elected, because fiscal responsibility is my passion.

On governing with purpose...

We have operated without a congress for so long that we have forgotten how to govern with one. Our leaders aren't governing with an expectation of being held accountable for their actions. I don't want to kick anyone while they are down so I'll refrain from a lot of factual stuff, but suffice to say that our leaders can't be lying to us. I think the biggest thing about being wiped is that the CP did so much in isolation. Now that we have a congress, governing with a congress appears to be a forgotten art. I have led with an active congress, heck, I was only batting .500 on my Executive Congress due to the active congress that I was governing with. You can expect government to function if I'm elected, it will operate with congress and with purpose.

On the Campaign Executive team...

My VP will be Rylde. He is a tremendous citizen. Infamous. Magnaminous. Sentimental. Drunk. Vulgar. eCanadian.

My other VP will be Acacia Mason. He is rattled at the moment, but I expect him to come around. He is eloquent, passionate, friendly, connected, flexible, and sensitive. Much like the angel and devil Acacia would have had on his shoulder, I get the same thing, and I don't know which is which Mary Chan 😉

I have three other Ministers, and I must tell you, I asked around to get the top people. I have not been active in eCan politics lately to know which players are the top performers in each discipline, so I am counting on the referrals of people I trust and taking a leap of faith in them.

klop123 has accepted my invitation to be Minister of Defence. I am excited about getting to know him better, I know him a tad through CPF, but this will be bigger. I have every confidence in his abilities.

Shoi12 has accepted my invitation to be Minister of Foreign Affairs. I am also excited to get to know him better and I have every confidence in his abilities, he has come very highly recommended.

My invitation to Minister of Finance is unanswered at this time.

On chasing the ghost of Jacobi...

I have already been asked if this is the first leg of a drive for five so I'll go on record now for a NO!

Not going for five in a row and not going for the highest total either.

I am actually surprised at how things unfolded, I was not expecting this, nor was I prepared for it at all. I anticipate this to be a one term deal.

Denouement...

Please consider making me your D'Addy when you vote tomorrow.

Who's your daddy?
