[UKGOV] PM - The View from Number 10: Update 2

Greetings UK, well its been a busy week with fighting Ireland, France and Norway. As well as watching the Media going ballistic! I am glad to see you are all enjoying yourselves. I don’t consider it proper to release an article discussing my personal views, feelings and opinions regarding the current conduct of Parliament in this newspaper, bar one action which I will cover further on in this article, or while I am currently Prime Minister, nor do I ask anyone to release a defence in the name of the government.

Without further ado, shall we move onto the latest update!

Ireland
As the CoT-TWO war continues to develop and we push on with war, our own squabble with Ireland needs to be brought to a close allowing us to spend more time and resources in support of our allies. Ireland is just as eager for peace as the UK government.

As part of the Training War deal, we will be retaining the fruit bonus we have held for the last few months with the agreement of the Irish administration. This means we have to win the next battle in Louth, so I ask for our friends, allies and UK citizens to help us win so that we can end the war and get on with our lives.

Cabinet Changes and Impeachment
Recently we have had a few cabinet changes, notably the resignation of Wes Lewis as Minister of Education. His role will be replaced by the capable vice-Country President, FightandProduce. We also have Adastros as deputy-Minister of Home Affairs taking over the purview of entertainment. With these changes we should have the Ministry of Home Affairs back on track.

Another term, another impeachment attempt. Glorious. The only thing I would like to add to this is that I am disappointed that there was an attempt to purchase the vote in favour of removing myself rather than standing by your own personal opinion. I like to think that out of the 32 votes cast, 22 against and 10 for that in fact the real number is 30 against and 2 for seeing as we cannot trust the other eight voters who voted in favour of impeachment to have done so honestly and not purely for the money. Anyway, I leave you with my favourite impeachment picture!



Competition
Well it looks like we have another competition and one which utilises the new leaderboards (as if we didn’t see that coming Plato…)

Plato’s Comp

As the eRepublik Team wants to put some additional challenge into your weeks, we are releasing Weekly Challenges. As the name suggests, each challenge lasts for a week and a new one will begin immediately after the previous one has ended.

- The first Weekly Challenge will start Tuesday, Day 2163 at 00:00 eRepublik time
- The challenges will end each Monday at 23:59:59 eRepublik time

- You gain 1 Prestige Point for every hit made in battles
- From Guerrilla Fights you gain 1 point per every 10 Energy consumed
- Rockets and Bombs count as 1 Prestige Point each, no matter how much damage they deal
- At the moment no bonus Prestige Points are given from Epic battles or for Battle Hero medals

You can use the Prestige Points to claim the following rewards:

- 150 Prestige Points -> Recover 20 Energy every 6 minutes until the end of Day 2169 (the last day of the Weekly Challenge)
- 300 Prestige Points -> 10 Strength
- 400 Prestige Points -> 1000 Storage
- 500 Prestige Points -> 20 Strength
- 600 Prestige Points -> 50% Damage Booster for 8 hours
- 800 Prestige Points -> +50 Energy Center for 7 days
- 1 000 Prestige Points -> 50% Damage Booster for 24 hours
- 2 000 Prestige Points -> 10 Energy Bars
- 3 000 Prestige Points -> 50% Damage Booster for 24 hours
- 4 000 Prestige Points -> 50 Energy Bars
- 5 000 Prestige Points -> 50 Energy Bars
- For every 1 000 more Prestige Points -> 50 Energy Bars

Remember to claim your rewards by clicking on them before Monday 23:59 eRepublik time! If you fail to do so before the Weekly Challenge is over, you will lose all the unclaimed rewards.


So what does this mean? This means that the target you should aim for is 500 Presitge Points and gain the bonus strength. This will start at Day Change and carry on for 7 days. What I want to ask you to do is to hold you damage until our Louth battle starts and hit then hitting hard to tear down the shield. Not only will you gain True Patriot damage, but you will also get access to these rewards.

For the next week we are planning to provide leaderboards with stats related to countries and Military Units.

Perhaps we will even gain gold?



Further Updates
Just a quick note on the rest of the Ministries, all are performing well with the Ministry of Defence keeping orders regularly updated, Finance making more money on the MM and NHS keeping this working well.
