[UKGOV] CP: End of a Term, End of an Alliance

Day 2,176, 19:19 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by 10 Downing Street

Greetings UK,

My last update for the term! And what an interesting term it has been, particularly for myself.

We have been involved in wars since the first couple of days of my term, namely Ireland, France and Norway successfully holding onto our Fruit bonus and denying Norway Congress this month. We also successfully united the Nation for the first time since the Argentinian Airstrike! So, lets look at the map shall we?

A United Kingdom

Conquered Norway

And a new Island!

As you can see, our nation has added several new regions to our territorial control.

Ministries
I’d like to take my hat off to my Ministers of Defence, Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Finance in particular for doing a splendid job this month. Max Blue and Schmidt have been on top of orders throughout this month keeping things working well, mwcerberus and Count Drakula have been releasing several good articles this month and working with our allies around the world, as well as meeting old enemies to make new friends. While Emergy dominated the Finances again bringing wealth into our coffers!

Dr Kawishiwi and the Health team have also been superb this month keeping things moving there and ensuring the food flows out!

Death of Circle of Trust
I didn’t think I would be the UK Prime Minister to annouce the death of Circle of Trust, but yes. They have officially dissolved. Let us sleep now is the official article. The war has many highlights for the United Kingdom. And I have been there throughout all of them, at the start I was Minister of Defence in May when we invaded Germark with Lithuania, both sides bright eyed and eager for glory. Then again when the UK along with the Alliance pounded the United States throughout June and July, seizing the East Coast before handing it over to Poland.
July saw us strike into Indonesia, but also the return of Circle of Trust as they hurt Serbia, Hungary and Greece. The war calmed down for us for a month but soon we hurtled back into it invading Belgium, fighting Bulgaria and France finally we took out Norway their Asgardian ally in this last month when the Circle broke. For a little fun fact, the war started when Talon Karrde was Secretary-General of TWO; this month, with the end, Jamesw is our Secretary-General meaning that for the month at the start and finish of the conflict a UKer has had the top spot in the world.

Circle of Trust is defeated

I would like to acknowledge Circle of Trust, many of us here remember when we were allied against EDEN. Then we went to war. Its always a little sad to realise an era has ended. Yet the days of CoTWO are over. What will arise next, well, that remains to be seen. For all the poundings they took, CoT lasted longer than I thought they would. So I salute your courage, o7.

The future…
Well, Circle of Trust is gone...the future remains to be written. The nation goes to the polls and I wish everyone involved the best of luck. And I also wish the next Prime Minister, the 57th, the very best as we wake up from the celebration party and check out our hangover…

Cheers,
Bohemond4
The Viscount of Cambridge; 56th Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
