{eIre CP} Thank you and an update

Day 3,500, 02:25 Published in Ireland Ireland by Aras an Uachtarain

Dia Dhuit Ireland,

Hello eIreland and the eWorld, time for another update from the office of the CP. Sorry to say this one might be slightly long, however do please read it, since I have a lot to say and alot of thanks to give. So with out further ado lets get cracking.

Irish military removing the wreckage of a French fighter jet

French Air Strike

As your government mentioned to you previously, the expected AS by France happened the other day. While the battle started strongly for France (for reasons which Congress knows about), the tide was easily turned later on in the day. Which resulted in the French AS failing and eIreland remaining intact.

This unprovoked attack pitted France and her allies (at the time of the attack France had 15 MPP partners from different alliances and 5 being signed, as well as being apart of the Orion alliance) against Ireland and her allies (at the time of attack Ireland only had 9 MPPs). It also saw some old friends of Ireland being put against us due to their governments MPP with France.

With this, the Irish government would like to say a few words to these countries and it's populace.... dont worry they are nice words 😉

French Citizens: eIreland does not bare a grudge against you what-so ever. We understand that the course of action taken by a government sometimes does not suggest the overall feel of the populace, as well as understanding that the information you might of received, could of been false. eIreland holds out the olive branch of peace and good will to you all.

Allies of France: eIreland also feels the same towards you. While some nations governments sided with France against their citizens wishes, we realise that the actions of the government might not reflect the general feeling of the populace. eIreland it's self has been guilty of being led by irresponsible people which in turn ruined friendships, so we know where your coming from. But one thing eIreland would like to make clear, is even if we are small, we are very fierce when it comes to defending our homeland. What we lack in community size and damage, we make up in determination and budget to bring in merc's.

Our Friends and Allies

Well where do I begin, there are too many of you to thank individually, from allies in Cyprus like N.oName and his country men, to friends in Egypt like pammaxoc, to our allies and friends in South America and the rest of the eWorld. This battle did not only draw on our MPP partners, but non-alliance friends as well as citizens from countries that had MPP's with France (if any of you need political asylum since you fought for honour against your governments wishes, PM me). As well as Thank you to those who donated cc to the CO funds.

While some fighters came for the CO money, I know a lot came to help us out. They answered the calls to help fight for the small nation and for that eIreland is very grateful. Also I need to do a special shout out to Orion and Janty F, a good friend from way back in the Nebula days and the Australian AS on Cuba, with out your help mate, the battle would of been much harder.

Irish military returning from a day out eating French food

eIreland

My adopted homeland, what can we say... other then I want to grab you all and plant a big kiss on your lips. First of all, the whole of Ireland wants to thank you, so please, look in a mirror and say 'Thank You'. eIreland put aside it's internal differences and fought together as well as along side old enemies and new friends on the battle field. We as a team defended our homeland and ensured we could walk around the eWorld with our heads up high.

However while the feeling of euphoria might still be present, we need to look towards the coming weeks. We still have many vultures circling around our lands eyeing us off. But if they do come, they will be in for another hell of a fight, trust me when I say this. And dont worry, there is still plenty of money left in the CO bank 😃

Other News

To save me writing two papers, your governmental news will continue on from here (it will be in brief however). So for our oversea's readers, this might get a tad boring.

Congress Elections: Congress elections are coming. So if you have not already nominated yourself, please move to an un-occupied and safe region (I would suggest somewhere in the USA, China or Russia, basically a country that wont be wiped) and nominate yourself in your party page. This way you will get your chance to help steer our nation.

eUK Training War or Not: this is something that a few people have been asking and depending on where they get their news from, they might get different answers. The short and curly on it all is we are still in a Training War with eUK. While some people might disagree to this, due to their actions, out of respect of the Irish NAP with Spain and MKD, we will be following the agreement by the letter.

Unfortunately due to media releases in the eUK (article 1 and 2) it is hard to see where they stand on the matter. Plus with the recent impeachment proposal it is even harder to know where their congress stands on the issue. But from the correspondence I have had with their CP, all be it a bit delayed, the official position of the eIrish government is to continue on with the TW until Dishmcds proposes the 'No NE' law and attempts to bring about an end to this training war. If the law fails, your government will look into its options, keeping in mind our promises to Spain and MKD.

Also since there has been much confusion on the other side of the pond and with different allies, this is the current situation (Please note, I tend not to show PM screen shots, but I believe someone needs to give a straight answer to the question)

As you can see from above, the apparent official position of their CP is to end the NE. So for now eIreland, remain vigilant, but follow through on the TW agreements.
