[eIre CP] Brief Update Day 3,505

Day 3,505, 00:17 Published in Ireland Ireland by Aras an Uachtarain

Dia Dhuit Ireland,,

This will be a kinda hit and miss/brief update of what is going on in all things eIreland. The reason it will be brief is, as most of you know, we are at war and it is being reported in another paper. However other things do happen, so lets cut to the chase....

Congress Elections

We are entering the voting stage of congress elections, so ensure you take the time to look at the political parties, what they have to offer and cast your vote. Remember the congress members represent you and are your voice in this democratic country of ours.

eRep no longer gives reminders, so shout it out in your party feed's and get our voting numbers up.

France Defeated

As previously reported, France tried to do an AS on eIreland. This was backed by the UK and other nations. However due to the brave fighting of our forces and our friends, we managed to ensure they never landed. Currently the French government has not passed on any messages what-so-ever to the Irish government, however we do not consider ourselves in their sites... but the same cant be promised if we end up with a land border with them.

War with the UK

After the UK changed the terms of the agreement, eIreland has been at war with our neighbours. This war, while going good, doesnt do either nations any favours. Ireland currently holds 3 UK regions and will be soon going for their fourth. While we are trying to talk some sense into the British and get a peae agreement, until such time the grounds are met for it or communication is established, we will continue on with our marching.

In regards to a potential peace agreement, I have published an open letter to the UK audience, which shortly resulted in a 'No NE' law being launched. However, as we have seen, the UK congress members sometimes vote in strange ways, so we are not holding our breathe.

MPP Stack

While I had hoped to reduce and clean up our MPP stack, due to recent events, our MPP stack has grown. All of these have been paid for privately and will not cost the government a single cent. Also in light of recent event's, I hope congress keeps the MPP stack on the larger side next term, to ensure we are not targeted again in a hurry.

Thanks

Sorry about the briefness, but we have a war to win, but before I go to fight on the battle field, I just want to say, 'Thank You' to the out going congress for your support during this time, to the fighters and to the people of eIreland. Stay strong and we shall be the victor.
