~Withdrawing my candidacy for PotUS~

Day 1,167, 16:08 Published in USA Australia by Justin McCravok

My fair American people, over the past four days, we've been fighting a hard journey to the position of President. A few articles and some hard, hard campaigning, and we've come a long way. By now, I've ultimately locked in the United Independents Party endorsement, and I have support from numerous normal citizens that may or may not be involved in another party.

However, I know when a battle is lost, and although I feel I do have more support then several of my opposition, I feel that it's time to put my campaign to an end. America, I come to you today to announce that I will no longer be seeking the office of President of the United States of America for the month of February. It was a good run, and the chances were good at first, but as time went on, the battle got more and more difficult. There was too much rope to climb. It was time to pack it in.

From this point on, I will be encouraging and supporting one of America's finest candidates, I man I feel is well qualified to assume the position of President, Emerick. Although Emerick and I have not seen eye-to-eye on many issues during the span of my eLife, and despite our fallouts, he is easily the best choice to assume the role of president due to his foreign affairs experience, political experience, and general executive experience. Emerick has also agreed to take on a few of my retention ideas despite my withdrawal, including a possibility of the return of Synergy Polls, a move I consider very professional and respect greatly.

Thank You's
Kazeal: I would like to thank my Chief of Staff Kazeal for all of his hard effort and support during my campaign. All of my decisions during my campaigning ran through Kazeal, and he helped influence my campaign to an entire different degree. I wish Kazeal luck in any future roles he may inhabit in the White House.

Pheno Sony: My Deputy Chief of Staff, Pheno was another big factor in many of my decisions. He helped guide me during my campaign and was another key player in my crew. Him and Kazeal were a great team to have guide me.

Syrup and Shino336: My two graphical artists, these guys were sold on me as President since the moment I announced. I want to thank them for it.

Chris Hartman: This man took time out of his day to interview me in what was my first interview that I've ever conducted. I really appreciate the fact that I was the only one interviewed, and that he had an entire article about me, it really meant a lot. Feel free to check it out by clicking here

All of my proposed Vice Presidents: Before I had written any article, I had a vice president in lock, ready to roll and sitck alongside me while I campaign for President. Her name was Angelini, and she was and still is the Federalist Vice President. A day or so later, I messaged Angelini, withdrawing my proposal to be her vice president. I felt terrible for days, and then Haliman snatched her up. And then karma hit me. You know why it's taken me so long to announce my vice president, America? Because I don't have one. Every single person I've asked has had to reject due to this thing called "Real Life". That would be five people, and I'm not sure who I would even think about asking next. However, something that made me feel good was that a few of them actually had to take a day to think about it. I appreciate the time they took in making their decision, even if it wasn't the one I was hoping for.

Anyone who supported me: Thanks for everything, and I hope I can do this again soon with your support.

Apologies To
United Independents Party: From all of the support I had on our party forums, from all of the topics and posts of encouragement, and from all of the votes I had in our primary...you guys supported me the whole way through during my campaign. Talking to many of you personally, I had your full support through this run, and it meant a lot to me to know that you would stand behind me. I hope that this decision doesn't impact the party too much, and that you can support me in a few months if I were to decide to give it another run-through.

My Cabinet: Even though you supported me, and even though I had a Top 5 endorsement, I still know that I had no shot at a victory. Some of you were hoping I could keep it up, hoping that you were going to get your first shot at an executive position, or for some of you, something new that you weren't used to. Yet now you'll never be able to have that chance. Well, perhaps never is too strong a word. I'm going to keep my cabinet list for future reference, recommendation wise and if I decided to run for office once more. Hopefully it makes things a better then what they are right now~

I will not be participating in tonight's debate or any future presidential debates. Thanks for all of the memories, and good luck to everyone seeking office.
