[MK] Normalcy/Scandal, Accidentally the Currency, and Notes.

Day 1,244, 17:35 Published in Philippines Japan by Myung Kei

So just chillaxing for the moment.....

Another week, another mark of "meh"ness within the country with a pinch of excitement and a dash of good laughs here and there. In case you were in a coma and out for the past few days, this is Hekter and Angelini's 1st eAnniversary, I am being impeached like all other ePhilippine presidents, there is an ongoing tug of war between Israel and the UAE ,and eMerica is taking a considerable throw of punches from NWO forces.

Most importantly out of all of them, I do sincerely wish Hekter and Angelini the best of luck in their continued eMarriage, but I do hope they do not attend to one another inside the cabinet office (and not on my desk either >_> ). As for my impeachment, all I can say is that it shall be decided on its own merits.

But for the moment, in the here and now our situation is rather quite well when compared to other people...to which the word on the block I keep hearing is "you jelly?" (plus an insert of trollface here). The economy has mostly been stable...with the Bank lending out more money for eFarmville/eSocalism, the army is off to eIsrael (more on that later), and activity seems much picked up in the IRC and on the forums with the addition of several new players to the community.

Also, to quickly address the scandal over the revealing of logs between myself and the president of eSingapore, scottty: I have nothing to say about the incident and proper action has been taken for those involved. However, Minister Perry and I will be watching very closelyat the situation in Peninsular Malaysia over the coming month. Also, the government is taking any nominations for a name for the incident with the log leak...the only stipulation: the title must end in "gate".

Currency Woes; Not to Fear! /o/

Over the course of a few days, the Cabinet, myself, and our economic team have been monitoring closely the very wild and erratic exchange rates that have been taking place worldwide. Indeed, we have not been alone in the troubles that have shook the stage here, as over the course of a few months the PHP has naturally slid downward in its exchange rate. Overall, this downward trend has had only minimal inflationary effects on the economy. But as of late the PHP has done some really weird things, like dropping below the .005g exchange rate, the rate at which the government breaks even for printing currency. (Something like .003g-.002g)

But rest assured, the slump in the currency market seems to have not affected prices...which remain stable, and within a few hours the downturn quickly bounced back to previous levels of .008g-.006g per PHP. But I would like for it to be known, that if these sort of slumps continue for longer periods of time, it could be largely damaging towards not only government revenues from the Bank, but could become one of the largest economic threats the eEconomy has yet faced (and the coming economic changes do the economy no good either).

This administration may face such a scenario, however we pray that such a day will not come. But if it does, I ask for the politicians and the people of the ePhilippines to prepare for possible fiscal austerity to deal with this new phenomenon.

But enough with doom and gloom scenarios 😛

Kei's Notes and Pontifications

-Why yes, the forums are still here!
-Officially authorized the ePhilippines military to move to eIsrael and to help out in their war. Junji Battalion members are already ordered there. In the meantime, the Congress is now up to debate a motion put forth by Representative Sansae to discuss congressional deliberation on troop movements, to which I personally wish to state I have no opinion on.
-I plan to present to Congress the nomination of nevvven to the Legion of Honor, yay!
-Donating my gold to the Bank to allow for more loans to the eSocalism/eFarmville project, you should apply too! Right Here!
-Looking for a Minister of Culture/Activity since MoM seems uninterested in the position.
