Firstly I will thank all the party members who voted for me, and the random new players still yet to make their appearance in our forums or even in the shout box who clicked the run for PP button, my nerves really didn't need a potential party pto but at least it added a little excitement to a rather dull election. Please guys, get involved, use the shout box, hell I'll even give you a cookie. 🙂

Anyway, given the past week I have delayed in writing this, with Cabinet screaming at Senate, and Senate screaming at Cabinet, a CP who seems to be mute and Speakers with delusions of self importance, there was enough random chaos going on that anything I released would have been lost among the carnage.

Now that has died down I have decided its time to move our party onwards and releasing something pretty much unseen in political circles for years, an actual party platform.



Wait, a platform? No way that's crazy Larni, its like you expect senators and members of your party to actually be working to achieve a common goal.


Its true, I do expect that. The ARP will not be like other parties where each member is not held accountable for their actions. WE represent the people, and we WILL answer to them. This Revolution is not some half assed powergrab, this is about empowering the new players to make a difference. When other parties seek to silence them, We will give them a platform to speak.

There are others preparing, some seeking their first senate seat, some lining up for potential cabinet positions in the next government. Those who have been abused and ridiculed by TPTB (the powers that be) and have come under my wings. In truth it is THEIR Revolution and I am merely a guiding light.



While our platform is till being developed I have decided to release a sneek peek so that any wishing to join the party and provide imput from their own experience, will be able to see the direction we are coming from and most importantly where we are going.



Senate:
*Forum Senate protocols will be based upon ingame dynamics.
*Speaker and dSpeaker positions will be removed to the point where their jobs is simply locking votes and tallying up results. Individual senators must take ownership of their own proposals, and ensure they have the backing needed. The present system allows half assed things to go to vote... and as the recent Chile Aus treaty debacle proved, most of the time these are just not ready but pushed to vote because of the laws governing the system.

International Relations:
The ARP will be pro CoT and do everything in our power to lead our nation there. Those of us who remember the EDEN deception will be aware that we were simply tricked into joining EDEN and for all the years since have been forced to suffer as a small nation surrounded by neighbours in an enemy alliance, be it Phoenix, One, CoT whatever. Truth is that 5 people made the decision for us to join EDEN. Its time we as a nation openly took the other road.

Military:
In conjunction with the ADF Marshal we will be looking at moving the military to a complete MU funding system and locking it in stone. This was briefly attempted a month ago and to be honest the MoD and the Marshal were both on different wavelengths and it turned into a cluster&^$%%. We firmly believe it is the best method of utilizing our military, and we also believe that any implementation of this system MUST be done by the Marshal and his team, not with Government interference.

New Players:
Are our future, its time for the old players to take a back seat. I am sorry but if you have been a senator more than 3 times in a row, then you need to take long service leave to get fresh senators in. To keep new players going, we need to offer them rewards and treat them as people, not as simple numbers used to bolster up political parties while we use the same handful in senate. This WILL NOT happen in the ARP. While we will need an experienced head or two as guide new players they will simply be mentor roles, not dictators.
