USAF Branches: Organized for the Future

Day 1,645, 20:51 Published in USA USA by USA Department of the Interior

In this very special issue, the DoI will be highlighting the USAF military branches. In order to get a broad sense of the USAF, how it operates, and the man behind the curtain running the show, Ralph Ericson. We sat down with Ralph for a brief interview about his job, the Secretary of Defense.

1.) You’re the current Secretary of Defense, what does your job entail?

My job as Secretary of Defense is primarily working with branch commanders and officers to make sure all branches of the United States Armed forces, iNCi, Special Forces, Seal Team 6, Ultramarines, Air Force have the tools they need to kick as much ass as possible. I also oversee the Arm America program and the DoD orders newspaper. When needed I also work with Vanek, the NSC Chairman, to make sure we are setting clear battle priorities.

2.) What can you tell us about the Armed Forces and how does it operate?

The Armed Forces is the collective name for the mutually independent 5 branches run by the US Government. Each one is different in terms of character and supply and they have different entrance requirements as well. Air Force is unique in that it is broken into three sub-branches, Boot Camp, Air Force and Delta Force which are based on your progression of in game strength and rank and is one of the best choices for new players. What ties them together is a common source of funding, Congress, and a common chain of command with the President at the top.

3.) Why should a player join an MU that’s a member of the Armed Forces?

The Armed Forces are America's forces. They provide a wide variety of people, from all sorts of places and with all sorts of ideas. No two branches are the same in character, some are for older and/or golder players, some are open to people new to the game and one uses primarily Turkish. Some require heavy IRC usage and for some there is little to none. Just about anyone could find a place in the USAF they would like to talk with the people there and the supplies don't hurt either.

So why should players join the USAF? Are there any benefits to it? What do the MU commanders have to say about this? We went and interviewed them for you!

We sat down first with Roper 70, the MU commander of Boot Camp:

1.) What makes your MU unique/special?

Bootcamp is special because we are in charge of processing and training of all USAF members.

2.) Why should a player join your MU?

Since we are the newbie division of USAF, players should join bootcamp so they can get started in their military career and receiving help via daily supplies and training.

3.) What are the requirements to join your MU? (Strength/Level/etc.)

Register on eusforums, Register & join IRC, Report for duty on forums, Join in game MU, eUSA cs, Join our website/roster, and work in our communes if you wish to receive daily supplies.

4.) Does your MU offer commune jobs for members? If so, what do they receive as payment for working in your communes?

Yes, Bootcamp members working in our communes get 80 Q5 food (800 wellness) daily, Players graduate Bootcamp and are re-assigned to Air force at rank of Major, if already Major+ then max stay in bootcamp 1 week. Air force starts out with 1200 wellness with weapons option all the way up to 2200 wellness wish weapon options daily.

5.) Is there anything you’d like for players to know about your MU?

Yes, If you are looking for a well organized MU with room for advancement then look no farther than Bootcamp, join our public irc channel #Bootcamp if you wish to hang out first or join #Bootcamp.Office if you are ready to join now.

Next up, we have Vanek26, the MU Commander of the Ultramarines:

1.) What makes your MU unique/special?

We are an elite unit, highly active, mobile, good supply. Yet we are very laid back. We have no ranks, promotions, roll call, none of that.

2.) Why should a player join your MU?

Laid back atmosphere, good supplies. We give out 30 Q6 tanks in 3 servings on IRC only.

3.) What are the requirements to join your MU? (Strength/Level/etc.)

Be cool, and be active on IRC.

4.) Does your MU offer commune jobs for members? If so, what do they receive as payment for working in your communes?

Yes, you need to commune for UM to receive supplies. Jobs are ~1 dollar, like every commune.

5.) Is there anything you’d like for players to know about your MU?

UM has had many CPs from several countries in our ranks. We consistently have major cabinet figures in the USA or allied nations, and even in our Alliance HQ. For more information about UM, please go here.

Next up is Kemal Ergenekon, representing the OWLS MU:

1.) What makes your MU unique/special?

OWLS, the military branch of iNCi, consists mainly of RL Turkish players, but our dedication to our homeland eUS is matchless. We have a very vibrant community, where everyone is treated equally. We don't have any hierarchy, and are very independent; however this doesn't prevent us from being extremely organized when necessary, since we never lose our enthusiasm. Our OPs are a sight to behold, hundreds hitting as one.

2.) Why should a player join your MU?

To join our community. Many internationally famous players ended up in OWLS thanks to the values and style of iNCi. We are completely against racism and xenophobia, as well as oppression. We are fearless, and have fought against whole countries one-on-one when they got on our wrong side. If you value individuality, you will feel at home among us.

3.) What are the requirements to join your MU? (Strength/Level/etc.)

None, though we aren't actively recruiting.

4.) Does your MU offer commune jobs for members? If so, what do they receive as payment for working in your communes?

Yes, we do. They receive all that they produce plus their share from the government supplies.

5.) Is there anything you’d like for players to know about your MU?

ESRB Rating: Adults Only ; )

Next up, representing the Special Forces, is Peter Lankton:

1.) What makes your MU unique/special?

We are the USAF Special Forces. We deliver the highest damage of all eUS MUs every day. We are highly mobile and deliver damage right where it is needed most.

2.) Why should a player join your MU?

SF is an international team of strong players. We fight together and provide weapons just in time.

3.) What are the requirements to join your MU? (Strength/Level/etc.)

Minimum 6k Q6 damage for US players, 7k Q6 damage for international players.

4.) Does your MU offer commune jobs for members? If so, what do they receive as payment for working in your communes?

We require members to work in our communes and provide the weapons you can use and all you can eat food every f***ing day.

5.) Is there anything you’d like for players to know about your MU?

We gather PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE.

We spoke next with Maxx Johnson of Seal Team 6.

1.) What makes your MU unique/special?

ST6 is unique because of the makeup of its members and in its history. ST6 is a multi-national force in that we accept members from across many different nations (both RL and the eWorld). We have a long history of doing whatever is necessary to get the job done and of being a highly active group, and we have been doing this for over 2 1/2 years.

2.) Why should a player join your MU?

A player should consider joining SEAL Team Six if they are interested in being a part of a highly active group of players who make up the best community in this game, and who are willing to give their all toward the cause of the eUS and her Allies.

3.) What are the requirements to join your MU? (Strength/Level/etc.)

SEAL Team Six does not have any hard requirements in regards to strength, level, or influence per hit. We do not, however accept brand new players into our ranks, instead recommending Boot Camp. On the whole the average hit of our members is around 5,500 with a Q6 weapon, and members are expected to understand the mechanics of the game and be able to follow basic battle instructions with little direction. A high level of activity and IRC usage is also required for our members.

4.) Does your MU offer commune jobs for members? If so, what do they receive as payment for working in your communes?

All members are required to work in a commune assignment. Supply for all members begins at 22 q6/tanks plus food if needed. Our Gold (Premier) Team receives 33 q6/tanks per day plus tanks for tanking critical battles if they choose to. We also make additional supply available to all members for important battles and to complete missions.

5.) Is there anything you’d like for players to know about your MU?

SEAL Team Six is an excellent community for players who are highly active and are interested in fighting when and where they are needed for greatest effect. If you are merely interested in your own goals you will not find a successful career here.

And last, but certainly not least, we spoke with eShades of Air Force.

1.) What makes your MU unique/special?
2.) Why should a player join your MU?

I'm answering the first two questions here, but it's appropriate. We have jets. But seriously, our MU offers a wide range of opportunities. Boot Camp is a wing (or division) of the Air Force, and it is a reputable (I recommend it!) source of help and training for anyone. The Boot Camp support staff is well prepared to help new players just starting the game but also older players who want to get back in the game. Those BC guys know what they're doing, and they've been doing it for a lo-oo-ooong time.

3.) What are the requirements to join your MU? (Strength/Level/etc.)

Boot Camp has no requirements, but once you graduate, you are promoted from wing to wing based on your Q6 hit.

4.) Does your MU offer commune jobs for members? If so, what do they receive as payment for working in your communes?

Yes, we do require airmen to be employed in AF factories. Airmen are supplied with Q5 food and Q6 tanks based on which wing they are in, and as an airman goes up the ranks, they receive more supplies. Each wing member can request his or her own supply option from a wide range of supplies, not just a preset option like other MUs.

5.) Is there anything you’d like for players to know about your MU?

As a branch of the eUnited States Armed Forces, we follow the directives of the Department of Defense (including NSC orders, but often also including Sec. Def. and PotUS commands). Although we are a regimented unit, we are not as strict as other military units. Also though, we are always on the lookout for new officers, and dedication (activity, loyalty, helpfulness, etc.) are well-rewarded. The opportunity for advancement is there and we choose within our own ranks for those in command.
