[S-news] About that alliance we've supposedly joined...
shadowukcs
Dear eBelgian citizens
In my previous article, found here [clickmeh] a few things are brought up by Nohjis. For one, he claims he is not as lazy as stated by a top eBelgian journalist, yours truly.
One of those other things our president mentioned was CoT... come to think of it, this is actually the first time he mentions this subject. Let's go fast-backward to a few weeks ago:
The end of RD's glorious term, a good period for eBelgium. RD, under the pushing of the, for a change not lazy Nohjis, finally gets us out of our neutrality. A historic landmark in this eNations history! We have finally joined a alliance! With great drumrolls we are introduced into the Circle of Trust!!!!! DUM DUM DUM DUM!!!
Well, introduction is a big word....
RD got us in, which was great of him, but the public does kind of expects to know a bit more of this CoT? Up to his successor to provide this information to the eBelgian public... That's where it kinda went a bit blurry and lazy I guess. What has been published so far about this CoT during Nohjis's term? Nothing it seems. Kinda stunning, isn't it? We finally joined a alliance after years of neutrality and our President can't provide us with one tiny bit of information about this alliance? Not even a general introduction?
This brave journalist, yours truely, dug into the government newspapers in search of answers. After long searching trough our national newspapers I found the answer. The answer is: one paragraph found here [clickme]...
my face when I found out that there is only one silly paragraph written about this subject which is suppose to be vitally important to us and provide us all with much better gaming experience:
Our CP Nohjis must have been lazy ... I mean "busy" again to provide us with any decent information
one paragraph where we are ordered to show full obedience to our new shadowy unknown puppet masters asked to be... hold on coz this one is a killer.... "loyal". Loyal to who? We don't know anything about this CoT!! We're also ordered to not fight for any medals against Bulgaria, Chile, Switzerland, New Zealand, South Korea, Paraguay, Peru, Republic of Moldova, Japan...
Any reasons as to why? Any reasons as to the purpose? We are left to whirl ourselves in our ignorance and yell "HAIL CoT" as is demanded of the good sheep-monkey's that we are.
President Nohjis at his recent Forum speech: "Obey! Obey! Obey! Nothing less but blind obedience! Dissidents will be forum banned!"
My fellow countrymen, ask yourself this: what do you know about this CoT? Ask yourself this in all honesty. Do you know who the SC is? Can you name more than 3 members? What recent campaigns did it fight in? Any history to why it was formed? What's the bond between nations? Do we have a public IRC? A public forum?
I bet most of you can't. Neither can I. Why? Because there is absolutely no government communication regarding this new alliance AT ALL. Maybe President Nohjis is too laz... busy? I don't know.
I, as a normal citizen and humble journalist only found the answer after searching in the wiki, for the answers our CP should have given a long time ago. After some looking I found the SC is some dude named SgtChewy (not to confuse with the legendary and famous chewchewshoe). Upon looking in his newspaper I found a few small references to CoT but where is the general picture? Where is the alliance newspaper? Where are the updates? Where are the reasons we are fighting for?
EDEN, despite it's mistakes at the end, had a fabulous newspaper providing good updates. So why can't CoT? Or even better, why can't our President inform us???
This humble journalist asked president Nohjis for an answer but apparently he doesn't want to speak to me. He is still too butthurt over the last article and considers me a dissident, traitor, thief, and many other things.... Yes my dear readers, being critical and voicing your opinion is not accepted.
I know some of you will go cry again saying all I do is criticize, but is that not the job of a journalist? Besides, all trolling and jokes aside, is that what I am asking not correct? We have gotten no information whatsoever on this topic. Nothing has been publicized in our media. Citizens barely know anything about this alliance. Maybe, Nohjis, in stead of raging on these sort of articles, should learn from them and inform the public a bit more as all these articles do are point out his shortcomings. LEARN FROM THEM. That's all I can say
About the Journalist
Shadowukcs, one of the (if not thé) oldest, still, playing player in this game is a very controversial person: hero to some, dissident to others, butt to many,...a outspoken person. Known for his experience in Alliances (he co-founded 2 alliances, led 1, secret agent in another one,...) and never lasting criticism, this man who won 2 ( and nearly 3 until those bloody admins nerfed it back) Media Mogul medals and more once had articles score over a 3000 votes.
He refuses to write mainstream articles and will uses his pen as a Q7 gun for reforms and a better eBelgium.
UPDATE on LAST ARTICLE: 5 days after date, we see that MaryamQ, Olv007 and Tecuvo still have eUS citizenship and that nothing has changed. A real shame. This journalist wonders how long it will take before our President wakes up
sincerely

Alliance newspaper --> http://www.erepublik.com/en/newspaper/the-voice-of-cot-276856/1
last article dates over a month ago... don't tell me that with the competition and new updates and all, nothing has happened there?
Almost all our congressmen voted yes to join the CoT, i guess they have voted after having debated of all the alliances, and of why the CoT was the good alliance to join for eBE. And after this debate, they have decided to join the CoT. Not RD, or not Nohjis, but the Congress of eBelgium. And they didn't joined it just like that, but because they believed it was the right choice for eBelgium. More informations from political parties and congressmembers is indeed needed in eBelgium.
That being said, you are also a Congressmember ingame, and if you were not aware of the vote and the debate that was held to join the CoT, it is because you have been convicted of thef of national assets and that you have been banned from the citizen area of our forum (because you refused to refund 86k bef that you loaned months ago to our country).
Your articles are not always bad, but if you want to help eBelgium, why not writing an article about CoT ? What is a shame is that you are not in position to help your country because you decided that 86k bef was more important for you than helping your country, and that the only thing that lead you is personal vendetta.
And yet again, TR is b*tching around about the 86k BEF while this isn't the right place/moment to do so.... why does everything shadow says/does need to end in that neverending story ? and then people say they only want to improve the atmosphere in eBelgium, while those people with their constant bashing on people, makes it less fun for people to play !
I don't like usual Shadow's trolls, but I have to agree on the core subject of this one (and that's one of the many reasons why I feared to be part of an alliance) : we know "who" eBelgium want us to fight for, but we have no clue "why" we fight, apart from the simple fact we're just in the same alliance.
I think eBelgium citizens are blind and follow the orders clueless, "in the dark". A pity.
Ignoring the rambling of TR, a guy who tried to the blackmain the government and then ran off to another country when he didn't got what he wanted. (honestly TR, I didn't even read you post. I don't bother to read anything you write)
Jeiry, I agree. We rushed into an alliance without public discussion, we rushed into it all very quickly with little explanation. On itself that's not a bad thing because we started with a trial period anyway.
[tbc]
... a trial period means that both the alliance can judge us worthy but we can also judge the alliance worthy of us. And by "we" I mean all eBelgian citizens. We skipped the referendum.. ok no problem, but then the CP should have taken the matters in hand and informed the citizens about this alliance. PROPER INFORMATION. Not just "be loyal and fight for X. period".
[tbc]
The goal of joining a alliance is to benefit our game experience. Can anyone here honestly say that our after we joined CoT, your game experience has increase significantly in a way that wouldn't have been achieved if we had just signed a few MPP's with fighting nations? I sure as hell can't
Ofcourse you can't shadowukcs, you chose to put yourself outside of the community. Unlike you, that means we do have other things to do and don't get to sit around on our butts waiting for something to happen. There's only one lazy person here and that is you. Too lazy to work to reimburse what you owe to the state, too lazy to do propper research, too lazy to actually talk to me since you asked me nothing unlike what you claim. But fear not, shadowukcs has references "founding alliances" ...
Let me laugh, all you ever do is whine around, you have never taken up leadership of anything. During my first term as CP I had appointed you to the position of MoFA, due to your lazy attitude, you were the only one out of that government to not see his mandate renewed the month after.
you can claim things all you want Nohjis, but the fact is that everyone here can see that there HASN'T BEEN ONE single article about CoT since you became CP. It is a fact that our SO's are STILL running around with eUS citizenship even tho they where suppose to have shifted weeks ago.
I didn't state anything that wasn't true. I didn't claimed anything that can't be verified by a few quick looks on the state newspapers
tl;dr
Besides that, there are many citizens here (a overwhelming majority of eBelgians in fact) who don't browse the forums daily. Who prefer their news here in the media. Are you claiming you don't care for them?
Oh and don't turn this into something about me. I've held more minister posts than you ever had. Waay more. And most of those times I was MoFa, going to be the numbers of times I've been asked for that job, it tells me a whole different story than your subjective butthurt opinion.
I'll quote the last phrase of my article again, hoping you'll get it now:
"Maybe, Nohjis, in stead of raging on these sort of articles, should learn from them and inform the public a bit more as all these articles do are point out his shortcomings. LEARN FROM THEM. That's all I can say"
No shadowukcs, you have not held more then one single office in the last 13 months and you failed miserably at it, where I have held 11. What I am saying here is that you can't expect a new article every day and that I expect of my ministers to do their jobs. It is only when they don't that I step in. Next to a number of inexactitudes (like the fact your previous article was not posted 5 days ago), thanks to your criminal record, you're the very last person who has something to teach us here.
Again making this about me. I see the TR-syndrome is contagious. Better issue a national health bulletin to warn the public before more people get infected.
Nohjis, I am not expecting an article every day. But you've been president for just under 2 weeks now. We joined CoT a few days before your term started. A small article regarding this new alliance would have been nice. Isn't the whole point of this alliance to increase the game experience of players?
What value has CoT brought to the average joe in eBelgium that normal MPP's wouldn't have brought? The answer is Zero. Abso-fucking-lutely zero point zero.
I know a fuckload about how to make an alliance loved in a country, I used to write the PR for ATLANTIS and made weekly reports. Trust me when I say that whatever eBE's relation with this alliance is going to be: you're doing it wrong. It will be exactly like that time TR got us into Entente. And we all know how hard that failed.
And again, you're babbling without having an idea about what is going on and what our MoFA has been working on since your previous article was published. Some things do take time and efforts unlike writing a wall of text with void ramblings about how much you dislike me because I don't accept your criminal attitude.
P.S.: http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/2065699
good to see that. After all these weeks we finally see the government get into action. A bit late yes, but still better than never. Now lets hope the other one's don't all go to ePL too so some spread is created.
As for me not knowing what's going on in our MoFa or government: that's your fault. I follow the media here every day. If you can't post a simple introduction to this alliance we've suppose to have joined, nearly 2 weeks after you started in office then I guess you type really ....
... really really really really really slow
(god I hate these limited characters)
there must be a smelly reason why there is lacking the info about the cot.
skipping referendum is not okay at all. without a proper publick voting, all further decisions about alliance is illegitimate. which cm candidate have presented his/her stance and intentions regarding alliance in his election programme?
ps: on erepbelgium u can make random people look like criminal. and honestly i dont give 2 sh*tes who is labeled as such by the undemocratic body as erepbelgium-phorum-congress is.
Indeed, because getting first hand information through private contacts (the job of a journalist) is too difficult for you, you prefer to sit around and wait for our propaganda articles. While media coverage is indeed important, it's not the key role of the government and I did not engage myself to writing a million articles. I am however open to questions from journalists and citizens who are able to approach me in a civil manner.
@lin0leum: the congress is the representation of the votes made by the people. Of the currently seated congress, all candidates who wished to do so have voiced their opinion on joining an alliance in the previous congress candidate survey (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/congress-elections-august-survey-results-2108709/1/20). On top of that, when 20 ELECTED officials vote in favor it's a 2/3 majority, no matter if LCC members voted or not.
