Resource Wars II - Day 3102 [17:00]. All hail the Wood of Washington!

Day 3,101, 17:42 Published in USA Canada by Ilene Dover

How are those resources tracking today?

Some observations and comments are below, like always. Remember that we are about 13 days into a 31 day event. That's about 42% of the time elapsed.

1. New industry resources have retaken their crown as the most released resource. It's pretty tied up between housing/new/food for portions released.

2. Half of the Unobtanium (sorry, Neodymium) has been released already. The first went to Pakistan, with the second going to Poland. Pakistan have a fully stocked new resource region in Balochistan, having invested four of their five picks on the new industry.

3. Weapons are still the least released resource.

4. Eight (from seventeen) rubber resources have been released. These have gone to South America (Peru and Argentina), Europe (Poland, Portugal and Russia), the Middle East (Saudi Arabia) and Asia (The Philippines and Thailand). Well done to these countries!

4. Ten (from twenty four) deer resources have been released. Overwhelmingly Europe has taken these resources (Portugal, Russia, Germany, Croatia, Spain and Estonia). North America (USA and Cuba) and Asia (China and Australia) have also joined in.

5. Four from seven granite resources have been claimed. Two went to Eurasia (Russia and Georgia), one to Europe (Spain) and one to North America (USA). Georgia have a fully-stacked housing resource region. Congratulations - that takes some strategy to pull off!

6. Very common resources are not being released in as great quantities as the other types. I predict a flurry of fish, iron and sand in the final days. It’s good to see the whole thing isn’t linear…

7. Titanium (57% allocated), Clay (58% allocated) Neodymium (50% allocated) are the resources with the least remaining placement chances. I’m sure the relative difficulty of obtaining Neodymium surprises nobody.

8. The third (of four) Neobymium will hit the pool in 11 hours or so. Most of Europe is out of the running because of Poland. Who will take this one?

How is the eUSA doing?

Very well as of late. We added two new resources yesterday and rounded out Washington as a housing Mecca.

We still have a lot of regions to fill. We need 34 more resources, to be exact. That’s about 2 each day…

Our bonuses so far, by industry:

Food

Food is our best industry so far, and our first full set. That is, we finally have five from five resources (Deer, Grains, Fruits, Cattle and Fish) for an overall national bonus of 100%. Our maximum region bonus is 90% at the moment in Nebraska. It won't get any better than that, except for the pollution...

Weapons

We picked up Aluminium recently. That gives us a national bonus of 25% and a maximum region bonus of 15% in Kentucky.

Winning a rubber resource is clearly a goal of the administration. Please, listen to shouts and MU orders closely. Sometimes it’s important to not be winning or our domination points collect too quickly.

Housing

Yesterday we picked up granite! What does that mean? Housing is now our second full set of resources! Our national bonus of 100% comes from five of five resources (granite, limestone, clay, wood and sand). Our maximum regional bonus is 90%, in Washington. Glorious is the wood of Washington! Of great length it is, and mighty of girth. As straight as an arrow! Most satisfying it was to acquire…

For our future housing industry, Washington is as good as it gets, except for the pollution...

New industry

A few days back we added Wolfram into the mix. With magnesium from much earlier, that gives us a 30% national bonus and a maximum regional bonus of 20% in Utah.

Unobtanium is out there...

Are you unhappy with how things are progressing? The potential for change is in your hands!

Listen to the DoD shouts and read their newspaper. Follow your MU orders - always always check before hitting. Sometimes we want to be losing battles. Don’t be the idiot TP and BH chaser. More importantly, go here if you care enough to face IRC.
