Feeling Nostalgic

It is not my place to dictate policy or conduct foreign affairs. Is it my place to legislate every now and then, converse legal matters which are more a matter of opinion most the time, and treat people with respect. This is simply my opinion and may simply be the result of my ongoing head cold and the crappy feeling it brings. So don't go mistaking this for any sort of eUS administrative publication or stance. Its just me being me.

The new friendly relations with Brazil is awesome. It makes me glad to have things like this happen. You never know what may happen eh? Political Power at its best is achieved by the simple things, such as finding common ground, and asking nicely. On the opposite side of glad it reminds me of break through negotiations in the past that eventually went ...... I can't find the right words for this. But it was frustrating to me how it ended up. When you make friends with your friend's enemies, more often then not things just don't work out.
Who else remembers around a year ago the breakthrough awesome Peace with France?

I remember it well. France became awesome, grew a pair, got tired of PEACE or whatever it was called at the time, and left. Sadly this left them very susceptible to SPAIN and then POLAND's eventual complete invasion. They had their reasons, it happens. But then the US then had to make the bittersweet choice to attack them ourselves to finish off the prolonged conflict which was becoming too much of a distraction.
Right choice to make at the time?: probably, yeah. Tough frustrating decisions are everywhere.
Is it something that haunts me?: yup.

France you still are p.cool. I relate the situation to really hitting it off with a chick at a party. Shared interests, tons of chemistry, smoking body, smart, and completely into you. Then your girlfriend shows up.

So what I guess I'm trying to say is: "Hey France, I got a brand new cell and lost my old contacts. Any chance I could get your number again?"

There were maybe two or three countries in PEACE GC that I respected. France was one of them for that.

eFrance used to be very unlike RL France. Not really sure about that anymore.

Plus they are in bed with United Faildom... Are you sure you want to hit that after eUK has been with it?

RL France itself had huge effect on the US. Our Constitution used words from French ideas at the time, Our revolution would not have been successful without their help of training and naval support. Then who did we buy the Louisiana Purchase from so cheaply?

So they hang out with the UK. Doesn't mean they're not settling.

You have to remember that the French helped us out of spite for Great Britain. It was within their interest to help us but yeah, they are still good in my book

i remember also that after the peace treaty spain and poland try to erase us...They didn't manage, but in february USA attack us and finish to delete eFrance from the map...

So if we must choose between UK and USA, i will personnaly choose UK.

First off, with negative IQ comments like those of Ace451... how can this happen?

And then you said it in your article, last time we made peace with you, you let us down and let us get invaded, and even helped eSpain and ePoland. You had the chance to get us away from Phoenix, but instead you made us closer to them.

I don't think we will make the same error twice.

Politics are much more complex then a one on one relationship. You can't control the actions of others, the US could not hold back Spain and Poland. Neither could we control the expectations our other allies had of us. We are only one nation. The wars we fight pit dozens versus dozens, it's hard to make your path alone or with only a few MPPs against what heavy hitters bring. Things in the game are cyclical. Trust and mistrust rise and fall. Why not make things easier when they come back around by being civil and realistic?

Two clickers rejoiced and celebrated that attack and victory against France. Older more mature players knew it was not our finest hour.
